Most other Message boards I belong to have an option to “Ignore” certain users, meaning you will see that that person has posted, but the text of his/her message is removed and replaced with something like “You have chosen to ignore <user>.  Click hereto see the text of the message”.

I’ve looked around and can not find such a function.  Is there one that I just haven’t seen, or is it not currently available?  It would be very handy if we had something like this to ignore serial offenders of off-topic discussion.  Who knows, maybe y’all want to ignore me too.  8-)</user>

I guess its better, but will check over the next few weeks.

In the Forum Help there are examples of the various BB codes there.  I noticed the samples for table cells shows boxes/borders around the cells, but when I try to use it it puts things in rows and columns, but not with borders (see example below).

Is there something I can do to get the cell borders to show up on the forum-tables, or is there some sort of site configuration that does not allow this?  I was experimenting with some table-based things for the forum and I think the borders would make it much more readable.

Sounds like the version you are using is still the “hacked” version that was never part of the sourceforge project.  Therefore, nothing is supported in your version, and nothing will ever be fixed in your version.  The unstable version at triplea.sourceforge.net are at least supported by the tripleA development team, so there may still be bugs with them, but at least any bugs will be fixed in future releases.

I’d recommend running (not walking) to triplea.sourceforge.net and downloading the lastest unstable release 0.9.4.1 (since no stable releases yet have support for PBEM).

Convince your opponent to use the same version - it shouldn’t be hard if they were using the same version you had (that you say doesn’t work any more).

I said it wasn’t going great, but it’s not a done deal because you don’t have it to take Berlin, not before Russia goes.

Don’t feel bad, it is a really complex game that takes hours and hours to learn. When I first started we spent hours to get just 1 turn through as well! But it’s worth it! We’re rooting for you, feel free to ask any questions (well I don’t have any specific advice, just wanted to give you a pep talk  :lol:)
