I was wondering if there is a way to play AA 1942 using a global board? Has anyone tried this? Maybe someone has already come up with the set up and rules?
Thx

IJN and USN sea battle at Tokyo
Here’s the scenario, US has moved its fleet to adjacent SZ to Tokyo and SZ 6. It could not attack because it exhausted its move. But apparently will attack on its next turn. On Japan’s turn, with a smaller fleet, it attacks US fleet. Both sustain damage to their carriers and BB’s. Here’s the question, if Japan breaks off the attack can their capital ships be repaired before the US turn? Which follows Japan. One player says since they are in port at a navy base they are repaired and obviously the US is not repaired (no navy base). I say they are repaired on Japan’s next turn and not immediately at the end of their turn. Thx for the help.

Japan taking soviet territories bordering Mongolia
Question I have concerns after the Soviets have fallen to Germany. What happens if Japan scoops up Soviet territory bordering Mongolia?
My opponent says because soviets are defeated then another allied power fills up within the Mongolia border…preferably US. I say nothing happens as long as Japan stays out of Mongolia. The surrounding soviet territories are now under the control of Japan -
[House Rules] Should allies receive a bid?
I’ve played a couple of games now and axis seem to have a big advantage. Is there’s suggested bid?

RE: Europe Uk and Pacific Uk
@Mursilis sorry I’m still trying to make sense here. The Uk gets to make purchases under the both powers but it sounds like your saying they can move both units in pac and euro on both turns. I understood that euro turn made ero purchases and moves the Pacific turn made pac purchases and pac moves. How do you make sure a unit doesn’t move on euro turn and then same unit moves on pac turn?

RE: Europe Uk and Pacific Uk
So if I understand you correctly, once the uk fighters land in India they can then participate in uk Pacific’s attack (which follows uk Europe turn in global) on IJN on following turn. They are no longer tied to uk Europe schedule?

Global 1940 major IC on norway
Can US place a major IC on Norway after capturing on next turn?

Germany NO’s when holding Leningrad, Russia and Stalingrad?
When Germany holds Leningrad, Russia and Stalingrad they receive a bonus total of 15 ipc’s, 5 for each territory. If you lose Leningrad yet still hold R and S do you get 10 bonus ipc’s? When we play we believe you must hold all 3 to get the 15 ipc’s. Now some have said losing one of the 3 territories does not void the remaining 10 ipc’s. Can we get a ruling on this l? Thx we’re new and love the game.

RE: How many of y'all do the UK1 attack on SZ 37?
What is " a dd is added to fleet at scappa flow"?
Thx! -
RE: Capturing Tokyo after sea battle
That makes sense Argo. So because the transport did not accompany the fleet attack they can’t follow up and landin Tokyo. I come to this conclusion because they remained in Borneo during sea battle. One more ?, could they move in Tokyo on NC move or I must wait another turn? Thx

Capturing Tokyo after sea battle
After axis Tokyo player left Tokyo empty my US fleet destroyed IJN leaving an opening for my transport and 1 inf from Borneo to waltz in and capture Tokyo. My question is since this was not mentioned as an amphibious assault my opponent says I can’t do this. I say I am simply now conducting an additional attack on the island with my transport and infantry. Which is correct? Thx Smack

US IC on U.K. Owned Norway
Hello Forum, another Q on spring 42. Suppose U.K. conquers Norway and begins a shuttle of troops along with the US and as partners decide it best to allow US to build an IC on Norway,
Is this permitted?Thx

Thinking of 1942.2 buy?
Hi forum, I have spring 42 and have been thinking of getting 42.2. Anyone out there that had spring 42 and then purchased 42.2 and felt that 42.2 was sufficiently different enough to warrant the purchase? I really like the spring game and after reading the forum posts on 42.2
I am leaning towards buying it. Just a little concerned it may be too similar. Thanks for any feedback. -
Dice v LL
Can someone explain regular dice vs LL dice. Yep I get one is luckier than the other. Also what dice can you expect to come in typical AA game? For example spring 42. And how would one know the difference between the two? Thx

RE: SBR
Ah, I understand now. One round of attack for SBR per turn. Thx!

RE: SBR
Appreciate the response and have read that portion of th rules. What my question still is: is the AA gun finished after one round of combat?
It seems to me in a SBR it can fire in every round of combat the bombers attack an IC.
However it also seems on an attack on a territory containing AA’s by air power
The AA’s only get one to shot at all planes(ftr, bomb) afterwards, if attackers pursue a 2nd round of attack the AA is out. No longer posing a threat? Can you get back as I am rather new and want to employ the SBR correctly. The rule book seems to say this by omission and I am not certain as to the correct way to proceed. Thx!
