You got it! The only other guy on here that ACTUALLY has been through this. They have my money, and all I have is a clock that keeps on ticking….
Well, then I guess you need our support now more than ever. Hang in there.

The thing is, they look similar to one very specific set of other units, namely Tide of Iron. It’s not just the Tiger, it’s the truck, mech inf and 88 as well. Just something I noticed. Maybe it’s the same sculptor?
I really don’t understand the complaint. So Tiger tanks in Tide Of Iron don’t look like Tiger tanks in any other WW2 game? An SdKfz 251 in Tide Of Iron doesn’t look like an SdKfz 251 in any other WW2 game? An Opel “Blitz” truck in Tide of Iron doesn’t look like an Opel “Blitz” truck in any other WW2 game?
But wait, now apparently FMG has “copied” those models. OH MY GOD! How can we deal with these copies? Of course, FMG’s pieces will be much smaller to fit in with A&A size pieces, but they will still look so much alike.
This is a really weird thing to complain about. I can’t help but wonder just what you were expecting FMG to come up with.
Who says I’m complaining? Just something I noticed and wondered if any one else had noticed. Apparently that is not the case, so lets move on.
I think we covered this topic already?
MANY examples were given to sculptor as inspiration. EACH UNIT was done from scratch based on these many examples. Of course a Tiger Tank will look similar to other Tiger Tank models!?!?

They look good, so I guess it doesn’t really matter.
I don’t know if any one else noticed, but the German sculpts we’ve seen so far look very much like some of the German units in Tide of Iron. Especially the Tiger, mech infantry and truck. Also the Flak 88 looks almost identical, but that one was up for remodeling I think.
Now, one might say that a Tiger looks like a Tiger and so on, but that’s not quite true. Different games have different sculpts and they all differ a little bit from each other. A Tiger from M44 doesn’t look exactly like a Tiger from A&A Miniatures, for example. The Tiger and mech infantry from M44 are different from FMG:s sculpts, but the ones from ToI and FMG are almost the same, apart from the size. Coincidence?
This thread has become nothing but bad publicity for both this project and my company.
Jeremy
All publicity is good publicity.
In any case, I think you should consider not abandoning the thread, after all. There are several reasons:
-This is where you can get feedback on the sculpts, and any incorrect details on the units will be quickly pointed out.
-Leaving the thread makes you come across as wanting to avoid criticism. That is not a good thing.
-A project like this needs a discussion thread. So there is a lot of complaining, let the moderator handle that. Your discussing the project with the community is invaluable.
Keep discussing your project. Maybe you should consider starting a new thread, seeing as this one is quite long and sometimes confusing.
Considering i’m a stakeholder and i spent more than $ 70 it’s my own interest to know the status of this project. So shut up.It’s not my will to insult anyone but Jeremy must pay more attention to these things.
If, from the beginning, i knew that i have to wait 12-15 months i would be more relaxed.
Yeah buddy, well I’m also a stakeholder and I spend more than $200 for my order so why don’t YOU shut up. If I can wait this long without suggesting that Jeremy or FMG would screw us over, then you can too.
Also, Jeremy HAS been paying attention to every detail of this project. What’s more is he has been sharing every bit of information with all of us here on the forum. This is why so many of us are getting frustrated whenever there is another delay. However, disappointing or not, at least we are all being informed and I for one like that. Most companies would simply leave us hanging all these months with no idea how far along the project is. Try to put yourself in his shoes. You come up with an idea and sell it to a bunch of people then get told your product will be ready on “this” date. Then “this” date comes and no product. You ask the factory and they say "Oops, now it will be “that” date. Then “that” date comes and you are still waiting. Meanwhile, all the people you sold the idea to are getting frustrated and yelling at you “Where’s my product?” Just think about how frustrating it would be to be caught in the middle like that.
I think EVERYONE if you don’t have anything decent to say and just want to complain that you haven’t gotten your pieces yet should just not post. You are taking up space.
He has been very good at informing us, yes. But the bottom line is that it has taken a very, very long time, and we haven’t even got the Italian pieces yet. And it just drags along, week after week, month after month. Now, I’m certain that FMG will deliver, eventually, but this does not change the fact that it’s taking way to long. Way to long. And you’re way to positive about it. It feels like you’re gripping at straws.
I will buy the pieces when they arrive, and I understand why there have been delays, but you can’t stop people from having an opinion, or feeling bothered about how long it takes.
I hate to do this, but I’m seeing some problems with this Stuka.
There are also some problems with some other pieces, for example the Tiger 1. It doesn’t look the way it’s supposed to. I pointed this out a while back, and got no response. So either it’s been taken care of, or we’ll just have to accept that all pieces are not entirely correct. Either way works for me.
Here is the final STUKA sculpt for those who are still following the project: Enjoy!
I’m still following the project, and I will buy the pieces when they arrive. I was put off at first by all the delays, but I’m past that now and I believe it will be worth the wait. Keep up the good work! :-)
I go Barbarossa on G1. Blitzkrieg all the way.
We use Memoir 44 as a companion piece to A&A. Whenever there is a battle that we would like to play out at the tactical level, we use M44. Some minor tweaks had to be made to make it work though.
Also, we use a system where you can promote successful units with a M44 badge on the A&A board. In the A&A setting, it only gives the unit the ability to absorb an extra hit, signifying it’s elite. On the M44 board though, it is used in the same way as the badges are used in that game, i.e. Marines, Paratroopers, Snipers, etc.
If you are still having some models redesigned, might I suggest that the gun on the Tiger 1 be redone also? In my humble opinion, it just doesn’t look right.
In all other aspects it looks great, but the gun looks like those early war tank guns, whereas the Tiger had a longer barrel and also that muzzle break or whatever it’s called.
You’re doing great work, it’s just a suggestion. :-)
They look fantastic! I’m glad you went with the Tiger 1, even though Pz III would have been fine too.
What about colors? Do they only come in grey to begin with, and then black after all the other sets?
@The:
Some of the french units should become free french and be controlled by the Brits not all french became Vichy
I agree. What about the FREE FRENCH? Have a roll-off for each territory / Sea Zone. highest roll wins. Some become AXIS, some remain ALLIES
This also makes it random and more interesting every time.
Good idea. That should work. What do you think about the idea of Germany “acquiring” the French ships it defeats?
OF COURSE! We have hit a “murphy”. The mould is finished, but it needs to be transported from the Foundry (Where Metal moulds are made), to the injection factory. Apparently this thing is 200 lbs!!
This is going to delay production for another week. We are also getting dangerously close to the Chinese New Year, where all of China is shut down for two weeks…. :x
Moving forward, but slowly.
This is starting to get very, very annoying. I think you need to get this show on the road very soon.
Are we talking a delay of about three weeks here? :|
@The:

True. I thought about that. At least the french unit in England should become Free French.
Maybe this has been posted before, I have not read all the threads.
But anyway, I had an idea the other day about how to cut the Axis som slack, and at the same time keeping with history. It deals with Vichy France and also the French Navy.
First, what if the Germans got to keep the French war ships that they destroy, i.e. if they destory a French cruiser, a German cruiser is immediately placed at a German naval base, for free. I got the idea from an old WWII scenario for Civilization II, and I’ve always liked it. Also, this was something the British actually feared during the war.
Second, what if, when Paris falls, a Vichy rule takes effect, giving the German player control of all remaining French units on the global board (except french navy), simulating Vichy France. You either replace all french units with German equivalents, or the German player just gets to use the French units right off the bat.
The Axis could sure use a break, seeing as G40 is a bit geared towards the Allies, and also it is in keeping with history. What do you think?
EDIT: when I think about it, maybe this should be in House Rules. Sorry.
WHEN WILL I GET TO SEE MY RUSSIANS! WHEN WILL THEY PULL THROUGH
You know how it goes, first the Germans come rolling and thundering, then come the Russians and win through in the end.
You know what they say:
If you want if fast and cheap it wont be good
If you want it fast and good it wont be cheap
If you want it good and cheap it wont be fast!I’m ok with that.
