I use Counters from Paths of Glory & Fatal Alliances for the Board & only set up
the figs on the Battle Board.Of course our pimped out version we play is rather
far from the base game but it solves the over packed TT problem.

RE: HBG's Amerika Game ON KICKSTARTER NOW - FUNDED!
I think Otto Skorzeny would be a better choice.

RE: What should I do? 1914
You might want to try Rail Roads ,say allow units in Europe their Home or Allied Countries to move
3 TT .Flashman would have a better idea for them ,but the point is they would give the CP the
ability to use there interior lines to advantage. -
RE: 1914 Sculpts list by type…from larry
Oh, and keeping the same scale (or close to it) is important not just for WotC compatibility, but also so that it fits on a game-board and so that guys like HBG can keep doing what he does so well…
@Imperious:
Yes exactly.
Love that :-D (self confessed Scale Addict)

RE: Axis and Allies 1914 FAQ/Question and Answer Thread
@Uncrustable:
Is Constantinople considered a strait/canal? Ex: Can Italian ships move from SZ 17 into SZ 20 if Constantinople is controlled by the Ottoman Empire?
Nuts that enemy ships can transit the strait.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Istambul_and_Bosporus_big.jpgWhy is it not called Istanbul anyway?
The city of Constantinople was renamed Istambul after WWI,so in this instance the map is correct.

RE: Worst part of the game so far
@Imperious:
I agree I think the worst part of the game is so many complaints about it by people who have never even seen the game let alone played a game. Should at least play ONE game by the rules before complaining and changing things.
Best post of 2013!
Totally correct, these peeps reworked the entire game before playing it. It’s laughable!
I understand about being enthusiastic about a new product, but all these rule changes without seeing if the game is balanced first must be a joke.
Guilty as charged Sir :-D but balance isn’t my concern (if I want balance I have chess),the Game has some great KISS Mechanics
but it’s not an accurate depection of WWI.I realize it’s an A&A Game & I can very well play & enjoy it OOB.That said however ,I want a Game that uses those cool mechanics in a more historical way & I enjoy pimping Games to reflect my own taste in Gaming. Most of the Home Rules we have been suggesting here don’t concern balance but are simply attempts to make the Game reflect the reality of the Great War.
It’s a harmless deversion   Old Gamers never die they just Home Rule themselves into oblivion.

RE: First Impressions of Axis & Allies 1914
Confirms three things I’d got a firm impression of before getting the game:
That Production chart is unusable. One glance at it is enough to decide that; I’m surprised you didn’t start the game using a chart from another version.
Also:
“I tried to foment the Revolution (per the rules) but was unable to.”
Thats not surprising since the RR rules don’t make any sense.
:? :? When I first read this…I went back to the Rules to see what the Hell were the
Rail Road Rules Flash was talking about :-D -
RE: The Flashman Report
Can’t wait for the US release (not that I have a choice :| )
Having Austria-Hungary attack Romania on turn 1 just seems wrong even
Conrad wasn’t that wacked :-D ,still with the rules the way
they are ,if AH doesn’t the Ruskies will mobilize it uncontested.Neutral Entry will be among my Home Ruling -this may be the first Game
that collapses under my added chrome before I actually receive it  -
RE: I have the game
Well comparing to original AAE figures (I’m thinking of using the Red Russians for Bolsheviks) the US and French are noticably bigger, the Russians and Austrians about the same.
But, honestly, I don’t think the size of the infantry will spoil the game. You probably wouldn’t notice if you didn’t look for it.
Thanks,I was looking again at the Inf.fig.pictures & both the French & US poses are rather straight up compared to the other
sculps & the Imp.Ruskies sculps are the most hunched over (probably from trying to advance in the face or all that German
Artillery).Uniform Scale is just a Hobbyhorse I tend to ride, & with 2 copies coming(well when CIS ships) + the extra pimps from HBG,
I can’t let it spoil the game. -
RE: I have the game
Well when the American forces arrived in France it was remarked on how tall they were so maybe it’s an attempt
at historical accuracy (of course that won’t explain the French-then again who can  ).But seriously I’m not happy about this, for the price of this Game you should have figs. that look
like they belong together.Flashman how do the figs. compare to standard WWII A&A figs in Size?
-
RE: I have the game
Damn :-( The difference in fig size really sucks (for me)I hate having mismatched pieces.
-
RE: Preview 5: The Rulebook!
Thanks :-D This should keep me occupied until CSI delivers.
Let the Home Ruling begin  -
RE: I have the game
Oh, didn’t you all hear?
There’s been a big warehouse fire at the US distributors.
Unless you want fire damaged stock looks like you Americans will have to wait for the second production run.
That is not even remotely funny :-P If true it’s even less funny.
Come on CSI. -
RE: Images of the Map?
I am sure it will be that bad or worse.
I am upset the dividing line doesn’t run the other way through the med and italy. Instead it runs smack dab through the western front!
What were they thinking!
Probably an attempt to represent the effect of all the Artillery. :-D
