    • Noob movement question

I read this line in the Larry’s FAQ section:

      Q. What are the different ways I can move sea units from my base card to the main board?
      A. You can pay supplies during deployment or move them up doing the move phase.

I was under the impression that the only way to get boats off your card was to use supply tokens. This gives me the impression that you are able to just move them off the card in the movement phase.

Just with tokens during deployment, right? Otherwise, why waste a token ever if you can just move them off?

      Thanks,
      JC

    • RE: AA50 Rules Errata and Q+A

Question. A British CV moves to attack with 2 US fighters on it. The CV gets destroyed. Can the fighters land:
*On an adjacent spot before the CV moves?
*On an adjacent spot after the CV is destroyed?
*Do they sink with the ship?

My guess would be the 2nd option. Just like a sub attack on a CV, the fighters get one free space for safe landing. I must admit my opinion is biased.

      Thanks again!

    • RE: A Bid For Allies

Why is there still a discussion of bids? This is a rock star, totally balanced game. The only lack of balance I’ve ever seen is poor strategy, bad moves, or tough dice.

      Question.
Germany captures Egypt. UK takes it back. Italy recaptures it. Is it Germany’s or Italy’s?

      Thanks.

      @Brain:

Wow, now I feel lower than low. I’ve been repremanded by the master himself.

      Yeah, you were beachslapped.

Who makes the Operation Barbarossa game?

I really don’t know. Its just part of the standard battlemap download.

      LMFAO!!!

Dude that is an entirely different game that has some 200+ pages of rules and 8,000 counters. I played it and it is one of the worst games i have ever played in my life.  They even organize the players into groups defined by how well they understand the rules because apparently, not everyone can figure out how the game is played unless they have a higher ranked player who has more experience so he can answer questions. The game has more errata and exceptions than rules.

Wow, now I feel lower than low. I’ve been repremanded by the master himself.

Perhaps you could advise on my Operation Barbarossa question?

    • Operation Barbarossa

Does anyone know where I can find the rules for the abattlemap “Operation Barbarossa”? It looks interesting, I’m mostly interested in how the railroad works.

      Any help is appreciated.

    • RE: Twilight Imperium.

A friend of mine is continually telling me I’ll like it better than A&A. I’ve agreed to give it a whirl with his group in November. I’m looking forward to the change of pace, if it is.

      @Deaths:

Well I am Planning a Get together on Sat Nov. 3rd here in Menasha.

I have 3 already, looking for 3 more.  we will be playing the Global war varient, and if all goes as planned, we will be using the full 8x4 map with the AA minis in conjunction with War at Sea pieces.  It’s going to be a hoot.  :-P

Hope to see you all here

Do you mean Saturday the 7th of November? I think I can make it. I can’t make October 3rd. I’ll check with my friends. Any chance you could send me your rules?

I feel that would be the most fair. I’ll forward you the rules we are setting up once we get the rough draft.

NP, could easily be done, but my brother owns a coffee shop, and to drum up some business…

Not saying no to Appleton (or Green Bay), I must say its looking good to get a start on something.

“Louder than bombs” Love it. Would be a great name for a band.
