      sub in the medit sea is always a thing.

      inf in new guinea is good stuff.

      arty for the attack on ethiopia is a thing.

      if the g1 dow is giving you problems try an arty for russia to attack finland.

      1 inf in france can force germany to do just france (and usually cuts into the mech that down the line would attack Russia)

      Sometimes when germany stacks up next to karelia and i have dudes there… the 8 dudes with 3 air dont get hit back… and russia gets it. :D

      In my experience with Europe. As Germany I always get Russia, it is really easy to take, especially under a g1 dow and especially with low luck.

      The allies should try to get something going before Russia falls on g5 or g6

      It comes down to taking norway with usa, africa corp with uk, and later mass drop spain.  There really isn’t much Russia can do, if Russia lives long, allies win automatically.

      Russia 40 inf? Big deal. Germany buys more than Russia g2 and g3 10 units and g4 another 10. Hits g6 add in starting units, air and that is a wrap. G4 air g5 air G6 dead russia unless allies fly in defenses.

      Ah the Java thing. Well I usually have 4 air in range only. Plus whatever lived on Phil and one inf on Borneo… Also there is an inf on an island next to Phil for pick up…

      You can ignore Java for a round or attack it. Depends what you want to do. If it is an inf aa gun 3 figs… I usually ignore it. Next round it is gone or it dies much easier.

      Ignoring it is usually better because there are other islands and more than enough naval to guard multiple spots from attack. It us a good play for Anzac to get air into India.

      I don’t have a problem winning with the axis. Most of my wins come from Germany taking Russia G5, G6, or G7.

      Why? If you strafe yugoslavia g1 and retreat into Romania and lose 2 inf only. You get a decent stack that is ready to hit Russia G5 assuming you move it towards Russia each round. If you hit too much, that is okay, the G6 attack has better odds because you add in the bulgaria stack and the norway/finland stack as well.

      There are concessions you have to make. You have to give up norway/finland, usually empty west germany and hold Germany the round before you attack Russia (you buy bombers to max your odds of winning Russia so you aren’t buying inf the round before a major battle).

      I have had to give up france to take Russia many times. Retaking france is much easier than taking Russia, but it can take 2-4 rounds (Germany’s income goes really high from Russia, volgograd, and caucasus… and if you are pushing into the middle east for the VC win (which you should be doing) it goes even higher.

      G7 Russia sometimes happens when things are going so well that 80% chances at Russia is stupid when waiting a round yields 99%. Like those blow out games happen sometimes in dice where you get to buy mech/armor g4 on germany (g5 mech/armor placements on germany are silly because they simply don’t hit Russia on g7).

      Typically G4 you buy inf to hodlgang and bombers because that is what reaches russia for the final attack (armor on novgorod/ukraine if you got it).

      I do not dow Russia g3 so I can’t comment on later attacks of Russia. I always dow russia G1 or G2 (fast game or standard play depending on how much time I have).

      In the Pacific I go into every game with the high hopes of winning in the Pacific. It happens sometimes. Crush india J3 or J4 and hope things are going well enough to take Hawaii someday.  Sometimes it happens, sometimes I bust, sometimes I am forced to just have Japan, India, SEA, and all my ships air died, but hey I gave it a go!

      No you can’t 3 carriers parked on 38 and ships parked on 37. How are you killing that to block transports?

      How else do you get 14 air on India without buying airbase? (6+6 figs +2bomber)

      Perfect play just holds india till round 4.  You are buying 4 mech round 1 to prevent a shan state hold. blocking with a dd to prevent a burma take (so mech can reach shan state).

      Beyond that there is no blocking Japan once his navy holds 36/37. Everything japan has reaches. So that is that.

      Standard play works well for the axis still.  UK without a bid opens up the middle east for Germany/Italy if they want to make a play for it.

      bombers can land Russia from either Siberia or Scotland. It is an easy cheese defense.

      It is fairly easy to execute a cheese. If you dow j2 make sure you have enough guys on shan state to stop uk pacific from retaking it and an airbase on siam or kwangsi, you can put carriers on 36 + 37 to prevent a block from a j3 india. drop a naval base for transports to reach india

      Any burma stacks should be attacked with air, in which case no airbase is needed to purchase (carriers from sz 36 allows 6 air from carriers and 6 more air to attack from 3 spaces away and 2 bomber.

      If he defends india, kill it, if he retreats india, couple guys and a bunch of air.  So far kind of standard stuff. It is from here you can make a pivot.  burma is 2 spaces away from west india attack furthering a retreat and allowing an india hold. Also Persia is a nice 2 spaces away from india by sea. Allies ships are far away and won’t pose a threat to your fleet for the first 4-5 rounds (they may go to Japan so don’t lose japan, buy fighters and inf to hold japan otherwise Europe VC win goes up by 1 and that is game).

      minor IC FIC and malaysia. Once all your guys have run from manchuria /  korea all the way to burma China will make like 30 and you just ignore china forever, China can’t leave China so that is good.

      Try some of the cheese strategies in your next bm game. Japan take out India then go middle east (stop Persia complex and basically anything that could reinroce russia, skip China completely just move everything down to Yunnan then burma). G6 Russia easy and Europe is done.

      As allies fly 8 USA bombers into Russia, attack tanks or Arty produced on minor ic, make sure one or two bombers always coming in to replace lost bombers. (Extra No money is a bomber so there you go, defends Russia and attacks enemies).

      That is because BM 3 is new. Think of the additonal NOs to the allies as a really junk bid that goes away when the axis kick open the door.

      Russia makes more money round 3 4 5 and dies 6? Cool. UK pacific makes 3 more?  and dies J3 or J4? Cool. Oh you want to retake india and lose it again to Japan? Well thank you for even more money.

      Oh and italy actually making money instead of being screwed all game… that is a game changer.

      I will say this. The 3 trans 1 marine buy for BM3 does make j3 india much smoother.  That extra 1 guy makes a huge difference.

      Because Japan needs 7 vcs instead of 6 in mod3, it is more difficult to win as west usa is easily defensible. So the play is to go after ANZAC then Hawaii or go to the middle east / africa and bring havoc there.
