I did read another book in a separate series (can’t remember the name currently) where aliens come to the planet to conquer Earth and find WW2 going on.  They had traveled for so long to get here that the primitive humans had evolved and found the largest war we’ve experienced going on.

it’s all from the perspectives of people, throughout most of the books (save How Few Remain) you’re following about the same people, when one dies another character either a family member or friend takes over, so you get plenty of perspectives. From frontline troops, Pilots, Navy men, to two Canadian Farmers, a doctor, a family of spies in washington DC, and a few perspectives from blacks living in the Confederacy. you really get connected to characters (I’m reading The Center cannot hold and one of my favorite characters has just died  :cry: ) Through the war years character die off quickly, like one or two a book, compaired to the interwar years where only Reggie has died so far.
In How Few Remain you get perspectives from many historical figures, Abe Lincoln (hated for loosing the war) Custer (Little Bighorn never happened) Sam Clemens (Mark Twain, who never becomes a writer, but stays a reporter) Fredrick Douglas, Teddy Roosevelt, and Stonewall Jackson

Where is this fight taking place at? Are supporting units involved?

If the match is a close score, field position type of game, give me the Marines. However if the game is a high scoring affair, give me the SS.

I just kinda figured it would be a house to house scenario, 20 vs 20 with no support units

Every once in a while I try what I call a “United Eastern Front”, with the UK in the North, US in the south, and the Ruskies up the middle. One of the problems though is that the USSR may give up it’s NO. It works well if the Russians are starting to make process, but if the line buckles at any point it becomes a logistical nightmare (I once wound up with my Americans surronded in Poland :-P)

It’s kinda hard for me to tell with my group (the skill level varies too much), but 1 or 2 UK infantry somewhere in Africa (players choice) seems to make things even.

I would have to say that the Raiders where more resourceful and dirtier fighters, while the SS was well equipped and elite-ly( :?) trained.

I really don’t believe that a KBF strategy is all to effective, too many variables, and it’s too easy for the UK to anticipate your moves.
Instead I believe in a “Beat the UK into a bloody pulp and leave it do die on it’s stupid island :evil: :evil: :evil:” strategy (no offense to my neighbors across the pond :-D).  Which is basically taking everything except Britain itself, blockade it, and wait for the Allies to concede.
