@fasthard thank you. Also have noticed that Caroline island (33) seems to be missing, and some others, from IPC tracker? What do you recommend i do? Is this because Pacific version is different to BM?

@fasthard once again, thank you! we had a bunch of things come up and only dabbled with your Pac version so far (Pac_XvsL_GER1_20241103)
however, it will be an absolute life-saver!There is a tab with the MAP, and then i presume we use the IPC Track tab to review and update the game? just making sure that the map isn’t meant to overlay the excel grid?
also keen for any further updates you do to Pacific Version, well done!

RE: [Pacific 1940] teaching 7rd old son (and learning self) -how do I use Excel Macro from fasthard Bm4 to play boardgame pacific only
thanks heaps! . I am extremely impressed! Didn’t expect it so quickly!
I have never used any of this type of tracking workbook, but I guess in this community it is a regular thing. Is there an instruction form or loom video of a basic usage?
Example instructions
-
when playing a new game, adjust tab 1 etc etc
-
when Japan has its turn, first it will use the purchase Japan tab z etc etc.
I am guessing there is something somewhere but hoping for a "keyword"5 to search for to find it?
Thank!!!

[Pacific 1940] teaching 7rd old son (and learning self) -how do I use Excel Macro from fasthard Bm4 to play boardgame pacific only
hello all, I bought the 1940 2nd edition, PAcific version of the board game to get my 7 year old son away from computers haha!
however now he wants to play it and I am really baffled about how to keep score. i only have about 1-2 hours per week, and barely know how to start.
the IPC tracking etc are hard to keep track of when you only play every other Saturday for 2 hours!
Fasthard @fasthard kindly gave me the BM4_XvsL_GER1_20241001-v1 download with macros, and it is mind blowing!
i am in Australia, East Coast. is there anyone I could ask if I can call or video call or whatsapp to get some tips so I don’t keep disappointing my son? :)
basic questions to get going. eg what does BM4 mean.
how to use an excel tracker, are there instructions?
thanks! -

RE: A PC Calculator for IPCs
@kennethofborg hello, how do i install this map tool after downloading? it asks me what i want to open the application in, after downloading.

RE: A PC Calculator for IPCs
@fasthard hello, the excel looks great!
can the map be somehow used with the excel? how is this?
also, can the numbers be reset to just use with Pacific 1940 2nd edition?

PC Tracker for IPCs -(calculator for National Production etc by clicking on the map) -is there a good one available?
Hello
Is there a good PC Tracker for calculating IPCs /National Production each round by clicking on the map?
the one below, i cannot seem to install, as the application file asks me which program i want to use to open it?

Keeping Track of IPC
@barnee thanks heaps.
While I’m on a role!!
Keeping track of the national production/IPC at the top of the board… to recalculate them at any time, do you count the numbers territories you possess? And is there a good online calculator to help with this?

RE: Is an Infantry a Land Unit?
@barnee sorry to be unclear. My question is: is Infantry considered a “land unit”, and therefore only allowed placement in a territory where there is an industrial complex?
-
Is an Infantry a Land Unit?
@barnee sorry, another learner question: when mobilizing/placement/Deployment of purchased units, the rules say that land units can only be placed near industrial complexes. Does this include infantry?

Can a damaged carrier keep attacking in round 2 of the sea battle in an amphibious assault?
Re: Question about damaged carrier and planes landing
Hello
Can a damaged carrier keep attacking in round 2 of the sea battle in an amphibious assault?
The carrier took a hit in the 1st round of sea battle because it had no planes on it.
Can it roll for an attack on round 2?

RE: Can a transport defend itself at all?
@Witt that’s fine. In the situation i was in, there isnt much reason to retreat
-
RE: Can a transport defend itself at all?
@Witt many thanks! The printed rules must have some remnants of that older version:) makes sense now
