• Here is another one I stumbled upon and on this one even taking the text literally is not too much help.

Superior Camouflage says: “While this unit has cover, enemy units can’t attack this unit at medium or long range.”

Bombardment says: “This unit can’t attack Aircraft. This unit’s attacks ignore cover.”

Can a unit with bombardment (or any other ‘ignores cover’ ability) attack a unit with superior camouflage at medium and long range?

In other words: Is a unit (in covering terrain) considered to still have cover when attacked by an attack that ignores cover?

  • A Brumbar cannot attack a Sniper at medium or long range, BUT if that sniper were attacked by a Brumbar it would not get a cover roll.

Sounds like a contradiction, but here’s the scenario.  The Brumbar targets another unit in the same hex.  The Brumbar Balst and Bombard so it gets to roll an attack against all units in the hex.

Moral of the story, dont put units in the hex with a sniper trying to hide, it drwas fire!

  • The key is the Brumbar’s blast ability… without it bombardment does not allow a unit to attack a unit with superior camouflage at med or longe range… as Mot points out it’s only possible if blast targets another unit.

Blast is also useful to target units on transports which normally are not allowed to be targets.
