Help! error message when starting A&A

I receive the following message error when I try to start my A&A game:
LIB_InitVideo: ERROR 0x00000001 Can’t Initialize the COM library

I have no idea what it means…I’ve unistalled and reinstalled both the game and the patches but it still won’t work…any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a Diamond Stealth 3d 2000 video card?
