      Now that the USSR gets a 3IPC NO for each originally axis or pro-axis neutral teritory that it occupies, what do you think is the best way for the allies to divide up Iraq/Iran?  Both territories are worth 2IPCs and can hold a minor IC.

      A lot is situational this vote is hard for me. I say if U.S.A can get to persia then by all means YES 100% a U.S.A factory would be spectacular at persia and 5 extra bucks for USSR having Iraq. That would be the best case scenario imo so thats my vote.

      The more realistic situation will either be U.K both or U.K persia USSR Iraq. I say this because the Italians can get there in force, and the japs will probably kill the U.S trannie before it gets to persia.

      But thats just what I think.

      A bomber on a destroyer is not a sure thing.  It’s only a 57% chance that you sink both boats, and even if you do your bomber is exposed on Algeria.  One out of 7 times you will sink nothing and lose your bomber over Z9.

      Rommell’s idea of attacking Karelia and Egypt at the same time was assuming no bid to Africa or Western front of Russia.  He did not say to attack Karelia and Egypt if there were bid units in Egypt.

      Alright just throwing some ideas out, if your bomber goes 9 a tank moves libya to morroco and on italy’s turn inf too if britts didnt get it… IMO you spread too thin in general on a Kare opening and any variation will be left with flaws.
      Karelia isn’t a good move IMO.

      where do ya’ll stand on russia’s bid if they get 10… 2inf 1 art or two tanks

      2inf 1 art pros, one more unit and in the end more defensive forces…cons less moving options

      odds 75win, 82% draw, if england rolls good round 1 retreat

      If you get seruis unlucky just pull out, no problem.

      Since Allies will place thier bid in egypt since keeping egypt has many  benefits and the discussion has led to a Kare attack.

      problem with egypt is if you lose(chances are there is a bid there) the italian navy is going to be attacked and the axis will never see africa so you need one hit in 12 to solve that problem
      you need to hit 9 to get a transport.

      Strategy should be simple: send every units possible to London, dont try anything fishy ;)
      And send Australian fighters to India. (possible russians fighters if that will make the big difference)

      And buy some art if you expect germany going to Scotland, when they do you hit them hard for a round or 2 (but dont win, just do damage)

      I can do simple and vague.

      all units London and surrounding sz, kill German navy, reinforce India with a few Russians, save Africa, and use the Anzac as effectively as possible.

      Even if they aren’t, they’ll probably see the transport moving around, and even if they don’t know where it’s going, they’ll probably crush it. Or, it’s really slowed down because it can’t end its move off of Japanese territory…and then Japan’s fleet (and there has to be SOMETHING around India) will get it.

      A great idea, but you’d need too much warship cover. The only way is to hope that Japan thinks it’s nothing and keep it under cover of US ships till it reaches the Phillipines, and then hand it over to British ships…

      turn 4 Kill india attempt  turn 4 america 80 and persia

      Very possibly someone could reach the trannies Jap turn 3(assuming the Japs declared war turn 2) with a fighter but there are other boats you(americans) and the anzac(really what else are they doing) have(to stop the easy transport kill) if japs divert resources to kill this small navy they lose planes to take india then India can hold.
      I am all for russians helping india too Japs may end up never getting india(but capturing india is not the point this post).

      if you follow the naval movements the americans are never off the coast of a jap territory BUT valid point since America can’t use the Naval Base on Aus meaning america can’t go sz 60 :oops: ……

      So I take it this attempt is a fail? :| I have not tried this Persia IC nearly enough times to have an accurate account of the cons.

      From what I am gathering to much has to go right for this to be a valid plan, rookie mistake. :roll:

      I know this topic has been thought of but I want to see what you guys think of this now?

      America Turn 1 has 2 inf in Hawaii and 1 trannie in sz26, using these units I am just going to go naval moves and I am not taking into account several factors. This is a preventable move as all moves are if you sit and try the most extreme cases BUT on the average game I believe you can get the trannie there.
      Turn 1 26>54
      Turn2 54>60 (this move depends on war because of the Atlantic side you may have to go sz57 so next turn you reach sz78)
      Turn3 60>75
      Turn 4 75>80…claim Persia
      Turn 5 America minor IC in Persia

      Pros, America can help Russia, India, and Africa directly and quickly.

      Cons, Italy can come hard and hit it and maybe even get this factory for free.

      Just thinking out loud about this so what do you guys think about it now?
      Is it worth it or is the con to much of a con to even try it?

      Have you thought about how much Germany would have to divert away from their attack on London if you were to put the bomber and a couple infantry on Eireland, and 3 of your fighters on Scotland?  How many air units it would take for them to cover the transports going in through z110 and z109, and how many land units would it take to get both Eireland and Scotland if they don’t scramble?  If you do this little maneuver of putting a couple units in Eireland and 3 fighters in Scotland, they CAN NOT take London and both landing spots.  So the airstrike will work.

      The trouble with it though, is what happens if Japan does not go for India, but goes for Hawaii and Sydney instead?  Â

      That would undoubtedly work in killing the navy, but I feel by moving that many units off of London it may end up causing Germany to just hit London with max force and possibly cause them to hold the u.k capital so long that japan will win on their side of the map.

      With the current strategy I laid out you can take back London (if it falls) and cut that German navy down. Allowing America to spend its money in the pacific and prevent a Hawaii capture and hold.
      I like on U.K turn 2, moving one boat to sz119 and the rest (the med boats) to sz110 pulling German units away from taking London and putting them in the SZ…
      That being said have you played a game with this U.K strategy you just laid out? And is it successful? Because I do get it that it undoubtedly kills the German navy and secures the Russian northern front allowing a capture of Finland and Norway but does the U.K get their capital back at a reasonable round so that you can still fight the japs?

      As Russia I declare war on Japan on turn 1 and send the tank and mech from volgorod to china. I take the tac & fighter to Szechwan as well. Now the tank, mech, and tac & ftr are now protecting china and in position to attack Japan. I believe it takes three turns for the tank and mech to get to India this way and the tac and fighter 2 turns.

      its been a while since you posted this, have you tested this? just wanna hear how well your turn one war with japan is going.

      Germany will probably take Scotland & Eire leaving no landing spot for the US strats.  Although this will mean 4 less troops for the London attack.

      also from sz 91 you can move 1 crusier to sz 119 and from 92 you can reach 110 thus stoping the germans from taking erie at all….like i said conditional…are you in 91 with brits? did your opponent leave your bb and cruiser alive in 110 round 1.

      but as i layed it out you can block sz 119 and sz110
