      I’m on turn 8 at the moment with the UK and I started with an IC in India and it still hasn’t fallen to Japan But Russia is completely overrun by Germany and Germany is going to take India  not Japan

      We use 4 National advantaged
      Fortress Europe for Germany
      Tokyo Express for Japan
      Colonial Garrison for UK  placed in India
      NON Aggression treaty with Russia.

      It played for a very different game
      Japan have no troops on the mainland and the US occupy the Philippines
      Even with Russia completely gone the Axis still only have 6 VC as I still occupy Kwangtung The Philippines and India.

      I’m losing the game but no-one has had more than 7 VC buy the end of the US turn

      Its all about faith and what you believe not what other’s say.
      What about the other books of the bible most people don’t even know exist, i.e. The Nag Hammadi Library i.e. all the books of the bible the council of Nicea feared we would read.

      Hi Chaps

      Here is a Quick little move for the British that helps you keep India and drive th Japs out of French Indo china.

      Use the fighter on the British Aircraftcarrier to destroy the Lone Japanese transport.
      It stops the Japs from Reinforcing the Mainland in the first turn then move the Sub and Transport up from Australia in Striking distance.
      Also then Building a Ind Complex in India making sure the US player builds on as-well.
      This then gives the Japs too many targets to choose from and only 1 transport in the first turn and also makes the Japs either choose the US Fleet or the UK Fleet to Destroy.

    • Who had Family in WW2 and where were they

      Hi Chaps

      Just Curious as too anyone who had family in WW2 and what they did etc.

      My Grandfather ( My Fathers Father ) was in the Royal engineers on the retreat out of France blowing up bridges, British Army
      My Great Uncle was in the Japanese Infantry ( don’t know where )
      My Omar ( My Mothers Mother ) Was in U-boat Comand in Germany.

      They are all still alive and get on verywell with each other when they meet.

      I’m 30 and have being playing since about 1988 with various friends and at my games club.
      I have all the new editions as I threw the old Classic A&A out when I got the revised last year.
      Anyway I’m British and live in Highwycombe England.

      Ps Did anyone on this forum used to be in the US forces and come over to England about 14 years ago( give or take a year )and play A&A with me in Harrow (Part of Northwest London) I can’t remember your name but you always used to call me when you were over for a game.

    • Commanders for A&A revised

      Hi chaps
      My Idea fo using commanders

      Commander types
      Field Marshall
      Admiral
      Air Marshall

      Commanders cost 4IPC each
      You may only have 1 of each type of commander in play at any time.

      You must assign a commander to a unit use a flag or something on the model.

      They may not be taken as a separate casualty and die when the unit is destroyed.

      Once you have assigned your commander you may only reassign him in your non-combat movement phase he may reassign to any unit in an adjacent or same province.

      Field Marshall
      May only be assigned to either a Tank and Infantry or an Artillery unit.

      Air Marshall may be assigned to either a fighter or a bomber.

      An Admiral may be assigned to a Destroyer a battleship of an aircraft carrier or a Sub but not a Transport.

      Each commander allows you to choose one Casualty caused buy a hit from that unit type per combat round so if you have 3 tanks an one has a field Marshall attached to it and you roll 2 hits you may choose 1 of the casualties

      I’m not too sure about the cost yet.

      Just thought I would answer why I didn’t buy Subs
      I was the UK and had a IC in India so I bought more tanks and fighters
      Some players bought subs mainly Germany.

      I have another Idea for you.

      IC Fighter defense rule.

      If you have fighters on a province with an IC then they my participate in Navel defense on any adjacent sea zone.
      What do you think.

      We only used the cruiser,CV and Destroyer rules to start with.

      The Rules worked fairly well but nobody bought battleships just Cruisers,Destroyers and CV

      Maybe you could beef up the Battleship I’m only looking at it from a game balance point of view. I Know it was cheaper but the Anti aircraft fire for cruisers is great.

      You can get an extra AA roll for Industrial bombing across the channel. Even the British fleet is less of a tempting tartget when a cruiser is around for the German Airforce.

      We Didn’t get to finish the game as our Club shuts at 10pm so we had to pack up.

      It helps the US even more against the Japs ( or it did in our game )

      Also Destroyer defending on a 3 all the time I think would be better

      Maybe you could give battleships 2 attack dice and keep them at 24 points with two hits but only 1 dice on a shore bombardment. haven’t tried this yet, but with the Cruiser units I think you need to do something different with the Battleships. It all seemed to favour the Allies more than the Axis.

      Or maybe a split fire rule like.
      1 Attack dice at 4
      2 Attack dice at 3
      3 Attack dice at 2
      Just nominate at the start each round of combat. (just an idea might be a load of old rubbish)

      I don’t know much about the historical aspect of ship types but I’m not looking at it from that point of view.

      I think the problem with having more units is the lack of difference between them because you are using a D6.
