Hey guys, I made this form, so we can get a feel for the balance of this game.
Here is the spreadsheet with all the data (in real time).

Those colors look much better, no offence Veq. The Dutch colors are a little bright though. (thats standard neutral tho, I think)
Wish I could find one in Ohio!
Wouldn’t the resolution of the map look bad at that size?
I’m sure if you put the facilities on the actual map, and add 2 inches, that you get a little more room. I always hated how little room you have in Europe setting up.

@Zallomallo:
Could I get the details of where and on what you got this printed?
I got a file from ambiliz, and then added air and naval bases using photo shop. I took the file on my flash drive to 80 print hear in Scarborough ontario, Canada and got them to print it as a poster 72"x33", and laminate it with mat lam to cut down on glare.
The whole thing cost me $100 plus tax, however, that was a friend deal as the normal price would be more like $140-$160. There are more details and pictures in the Axis and Allies Variants forum under the thread titled “Grasshopper’s New Table”.
Thank you sir! If you had a reddit account, I’d gladly give you karma.
Do you think the extra space makes a difference?

@Zallomallo:
You mean I can send them my address and they will send me more tactical bombers for free?
Yes, they will send 6 additional japanese Tac bombers free of charge. They may or may not require a receipt, but in general it’s been “no questions asked”.
Well that’s fantastic, we don’t have to use chips anymore!

@The:
Me and my friends are playing acording to the OOB rules (played aproximatly 10 global games). Im thinking of introducing them and myself to the Alpha-rules.
Do you think we should learn Alpha 1 first and then move on to Alpha 2 and so forth, or do we go for the Alpha 3 straight away?
My guess is that going from OOB to A1 is easier then OOB to A3.don’t play any of them yet. Come back in a few weeks and get the finished version, then you won’t have any annoying updates
Few weeks?
If I was the designer, I would allow all nations to attack anyone at any time, because this is how the real world works, man.
But for playability, I would let US start with nothing so they had to use the 3 first turns to build factories and stuff, and Russia too should start with nothing but an infantry-stack at the border so Germany would need 2 turns to build units before they could attack Russia. Of course Germany would start with infantry only on the Eastern Front, and all tanks, art and aircrafts at the Western Front. To bad I am not the designer.
It’s supposed to emulate the political situation. I mean, you wouldn’t be in power of the US very long if you tried to invade the UK.
Depends. You can either allocate them to the sea or the land.
1. You decide what planes are going where (to the sea zone or territory).
2. They decide what to scramble.
@Young:
I think it would be cool to walk into a room with a set-up board and tell the Italian player that he is missing an artillery in Ethiopia.
If by cool you mean over obsessive and too good lol
Doesn’t matter too much lol. After playing 6 games or so of Triple A, I could set up the 1941 50th edition about 60% off of memory.
1. Choose artillery to bomb the factory.
2. Somehow calculate the damage
3. Defending artillery shoots back @1.
4. Remove attacking artillery casualties.
@Cmdr:
Make the optional rule standard in Alpha 3.
Or standard and optional to remove xD
I feel like all these changes might make it swing the other way.
I can recall an advertising poster I saw for the game once, it was a picture of the marines raising the flag on Iwo Jima, but instead of the stars and stripes, its was the nazi flag. The tag-line read, “History is in you hands……Dont screw it up”
It was for Commandos 3! I remember that xD
