    • Enlarging the game board

      Just dropping by to ask some questions, because I know several people have enlarged their gameboard and have talked about them in the past.

      I’ve got a pool table size area to work with so that should give you the general idea of how large I can go, but that seems a little overdone.  I’ve heard some people talk about a 3x5 laminated game board.  What’s everyones thoughts about this size?  Does everything fit much more comfortably?

      Now, price.  I’ve heard prices range anywhere like close to 50 dollars for a laminated 3x5 board, all the way up towards 120 bucks.  Thats a bit pricey and I’d try to avoid price at all costs.  I’d set my price range at around 60 bucks.  Any idea if I’d have much success getting what I’m looking for at or around 60?  Also, obviously I can go to Kinko’s to get my work done, are their any other chains that do similar work?  If not I dont mind shopping around town to get quotes.

      Finally, do I just take the gameboard in?  I’d like to avoid this because of the folds in the game board.  Are their any available .pdf files that I can take in otherwise?  Could someone give me a link please?

      Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks, crayons.

      @Jermofoot:

      Holy crap.  Can’t even keep a simple GD topic on route without it getting locked.  Even the people complaining about PD being a problem invariably turn the discussion to PD.

      So this is a topic about anything.

      I’ll start.

      American sports are long and boring.  It’s just an excuse to get drunk.

      Sports is all politics.

      See what I did there?

      Who ever wants to spend 250 bucks on a new console?

      Nintendo Wii, PS3… when they first come out, yes, they are awesome. That’s if you have the money to spare…

      Me… I just bought a NES 64 on Ebay with five games for 35 bucks. I can get my moneys worth in the first month of playing. Am I the only one who does this? I just wanted to see if others wait before going nuts on spending on a gaming system.

      whar u gettin a new PS3 for 250 bux?

      Step 1:  Buy a gun and find someone with a new PS3 or a store that sells them.
      Step 2: ???
      Step 3: Profit!!!

      Not trying to jump to any conclusions about ya Jermo, but isn’t that what actually happened when PS3 premiered?

      Haha.  Anyone remember that brawl that was televised nationwide at a BestBuy when the PS3 was released?  Yeah, that was in Fresno, my hometown.

      However, look at the global warming cult.  The Heaven’s Gate Cult and other infamous cults were engaged in the same tactics.  Bash and slander anyone who opposes you instead of arguing the facts.

      Only people I see bashing and slandering anyone here is balung and yourself.

      I think you have to be religious in your political and scientific beliefs to unwaveringly believe that anyone against your opposing view is wrong/ignorant/part of an unorganize religious cult.  You’re an adult.  Grow up, act like a civilized person, own up to the fact that people think differently than yourself, move on.

      @balungaloaf:

      well it just seems every big cultural outlet or medium censors one half of things on purpose.  dont people see indoctination and propaganda here.  or do they not want to.

      there is no propaganda or indoctrination going on here.  it seems to me that people just look for things to complain about  :roll:

      as jenn said, its a companies right to advertise or display whatever they want, just as its their right to refrain from displaying anything they dont want to be affiliated with.

      Yes.  Beijing 08, Vancouner '10, London '12, Sochi Russia '14

      To get back on topic, did you read the article balung?  It specifically stated that the reason for this number is the fact that some women have multiple abortions.  Personally, my girlfriends mother had TWO abortions before she carried my girlfriend to full-term.

      Reminds me of something my girlfriend once told me.  She tried to claim that the United States divorce rate was 120% because people marry, divorce, re-marry, and divorce again.  I attempted to explain to her that you simply cant reach 120% divorce rate, as well as the fact that she was attempting to present the argument in an invalid statement.

    • RE: Tasering in America – right or wrong??

      @Jermofoot:

      The tasering was wrong.

      Going on the lines of what Switch said, the guy was under a pile of cops.  You tase someone in that position, and it’s excessive.

      Why did they tase him?  Because he wouldn’t shut up.  Poor cops…having to hear the pleas of a guy the just assaulted.  And Kerry was even talking to him when they tased him.

      It all started when they simply turned of the mic and grabbed him.  We don’t like what you are saying, so we’re gonna shut you up.  And naturally, anyone would resist something like that because it’s so ridiculous and in your face - you’ve committed no crime.  He didn’t act up, just asking WTF is going on.

      It’s a sad state when you give police enough power to tase you into submission when they don’t like you.  Welcome to a police state.

      I find it funny that you all laugh while you see your civil rights eroding right before your eyes.  I guess if you are entertained, you don’t care what’s taken away from you.

      If it was ok to tase him because he was attention whoring, then they probably should have done it to Kerry too.  That’s all he was doing there anyway.

      Quoted for truth, every last bit of it.

    • RE: More on religion….

      @Amon-Sul:

      nobody still didnt told me why arent the accused priests accused for jail sentences, if they done something like these then there shouldn be any bargains, this is not theft, or something to do with money, the whole story doesnt have anthing with money, if they are guilty they should go to jail, and if Church failed to solve the problems then they can speak with the Chruch about  Church donating money to prevent this, or in some other charity

      These holy men aren’t doing jail time because it’s far easier for the Catholic church to pay $660M than to have the broadcast media plastered with every Catholic diocese on TV for the length of the scandal and trial.

      @ncscswitch:

      I would re-instal the latest drivers for your vid card AFTER removing AIM.

      It sounds like the problem is with an AIM linkage that was established during that closing, so uninstalling/removing AIM followed by installing the new drivers may work.

      Then, if it does, re-instal AIM.

      That doesn’t seem to work either.  Any idea if I might need to change any specific settings within my driver?

      @Mechanized:

      What you want to do is uninstall the Nvidia display drivers going into control panel and going to add/remove programs.  After that is done install the latest driver for your video card found here…… http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_93.71.html

      This method should work.

      The problem doesn’t go away.  Any other ideas?
