What do you guys think solves the problem more? Another entry point for German units? More German naval units? More German land units?

RE: Not Enough Pieces!!posted in Axis & Allies 1914
Hey Bjc if you roll poorly a lot of units are left after one round of combat. If Germany had 2 more infantry they would be good. That for me is what is frustrating. About 30 more chips. 15 for each side(1’s) and a few more infantry and your set. No worries. With the money we shell out on these games this should never be an issue.

I like your thinking on your choice of infantry sculpts IL. Love the updates. This might be the game of the year.

Not enough German infantry and woefully inadequate number of chips. Glad I ordered from HBG right out of the gate on this one. I think it is silly that we have to purchase 2 games just to have enough pieces. And to think they wanted 100 bucks for this game at normal price. Nuts.

I think the US infantry is the best.Followed by Russias then Britain. Agree that France,Austria and Ottoman could be better. Italy’s is the worst.

Il Duce that was funny. Admission is half the battle man. As long as you know it it’s cool. I got a closet in my basement that is full of my war games. Starting to run out of room though.

My wife likes to call me a nerd or loser for playing these games. I told her it could be worse I could be addicted to on-line gaming or drugs. Mine are coming tomorrow according to Fed ex.

RE: CSI shippingposted in Marketplace
They said they weren’t getting it in till the 19th on the flyer. I would bet tomorrow we will get a notice of it being shipped. I have ordered from cool stuff several times and usually the day they list is the correct date. Be patient if after the 20th it hasn’t shipped I will be surprised.

I will be looking Bobo I shop on ebay a lot and I was thinking the same thing about these pieces as well. 6 fighters and 6 subs should have been what you got with this game. Typical Wizards of the Cheap move.

RE: Who has preordered already?posted in Axis & Allies 1914
The words getting out on Cool stuff inc. and it should it’s the way to go. I have ordered 6 times from them and will for the rest of these games whenever they come out.

Question for HBGposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
I know you guys are busy and this question was bound to get asked so here goes. Larry’s WW1 game in my opinion needs some updated pieces how far on the depth chart would these be if they are even on it. I know I am getting greedy any info would be good. Keep up the good work guys it shows.
Thanks

RE: Expansion Pack or 2nd Edition?posted in Axis & Allies 1914
@Imperious:
WOTC does not make “expansion packs” from AA games.
It’s too bad they don’t but they can make more money this way.It just will be a new edition of 1914 to justify the sales and with it they spend a set amount to get people to be interested enough to buy ANOTHER GAME. This is where they include extras like new sculpts and rule fixes extc
consider 1940, 1942. Thats how they do it.History will repeat itself on this one as it did on the games IL listed.

How big is the rulebook Imperious? I plan on buying this one unfortunately I am the one that has to explain all the rules to the other players. They all play Axis and Allies, how hard will it be on a scale of 1 to 10 to get them going on this game?

Ossel I recomended that book a while back. Best WW1 book I ever read. Really puts in perspective how close the Germans were to winning the war. His last paragraph in the book is fantastic writing.

I can’t wait for this one Imperious. I am all in. The map looks awesome. Wish there was more of Africa and India but the colours you used are excellent. Map is very pleasing to the eye. Keep up with updates when possible.
