what about transports that wander into the enemy, transports aren’t normally allowed to attack on their own, so would they just get destroyed? :-?
I don’t really know what to tell you but I have an answer to you Finnish transport dillema. When you make your G1 British navy assault don’t send the transport. You might take the hits on your sub and maybe a plane but its worth it. Assuming you destroy the fleet during non combat moves transport 2inf from germany or whatever you can spare and ship them down to algeria. This frorces the allies to deal with it (otherwise they can just send transports with guys but they now cant cause their transports would be considered to be attacking yours, and transports can’t attack on their own.) also you now have 2 inf defending western africa which will force the allies to send a greater force and allow your other africa guys to eat up the IPC’s 8) . Another thing is try to make comments to the allies to get them to ignore the transport make them see it as harmless, and if their stupid enough to not go for it, Brazil is yours G2 BAM!!! Oh yes america will hate to have to go all the way down and take back Brazil, Tee Hee Hee :wink:

I like to use hit and run tactics against germany. By crippling their amount of inf they wont attack for fear of losing valuable units and i get replenished by the next inf stack in the conga line 8)

A strategy that I tried yesterday was that instead of attacking anywhere i moved all available inf to poland and all available tanks onto germany.
I then bought 10 tanks onto germany (with the 40 ipc’s + the 12) and at the end of my turn I had 21 tanks on germany and around 15 inf on poland, and 4 artillery.
On my second turn I bought 3 bombers, and sent the tank horde and inf horde to the baltic states and steam-rolled the russians.
Then on the next turn I attacked the belorussian stack with every thing and 4 bombers and annihalated their forces, threatening moscow on the soviet players turn he attacked me with everything and lost.
I had about 14 tanks left with 5 inf to defend moscow.
They then decided to surrender to the mighty german empire 8)
Do you think it is worth it to go for this prime piece of real estate? it is kind of alluring with the whole 4 ipc’s, is it worth it or should we steer the course to moscow
buy a transport in the baltic and then send 2 transports with 2inf and 2art, 2 ftrs from germany and 1 from poland, oh yeah also send the bomber.

then have your poland stack roll in next to lenningrad and send your finnland guys to vyborg so if they take it back you can take it and hold it next turn. (you may ask yourself, why take it first turn if your just going to lose it ? well you cant produce units out of a factory the turn that you take it so they will hve to send guys out of moscow which gives you a turn to build it up :wink: )
what? the numbers for uk dont add up. You get 6 ipc’s from england and 19 from convoys :-? how exactly is the middle east added in there. And if germany takes them do you move the UK’s Ipc production conter down. cause if you do then if germany takes the middle east and all their convoys (and england still has england) then the UK is effectively reduced to -2 IPC’s :roll:

I tried something like that, I built 5 transports and moved all of my fighters and bombers into range of england. the uk player didn’t see this but russia sent its damn fighter after it and it sunk three before I took it out. But this did not deter me from my plan. So next turn I sent 2inf and 2artillery with 6ftrs and a bomber against his 6 inf and 1ftr. Oh yes, no AA gun kills (I win 8) ). so after uk fell everyone quit :-?
PS - is it an actual rule in the book that germany gets 12$ bid, or is that a house rule?
It seems that when I play germany my offensive just gets whittled down by stacks of INF. I need help because I’m used to AA Classic not europe and in classic when I’m Germany I easily Beat down the allies and in europe I havent won yet :(
