Ive decided to use the paper money for the game and printed some off from BGG. Could somebody tell me how much of each denomination I should have? I want to make sure I dont come up short.

Keep gameboards from moving
Has anybody come up with a good way to keep the Pacific or Europe game boards from moving and coming apart in the middle of games? Every time we play, somebody, myself included, seems to always knock the boards apart and its a pain in my neck always adjusting them. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Increased Air/Naval Range
Once an air/naval unit starts out from its respective base, does the increase in movement only pertain to the initial move from the base or until the unit is destroyed?

Alpha?
Excuse me for being a little ignorant here, but after reading various posts about different games on the forums, I keep seeing the word Alpha being used. What does this mean?

Custom Map
I cant remember who I downloaded the map pieces from on this site (but thank you), so I had my go at my first custom map. I used a regular picture frame so the top is protected by a plexiglass type material. I added the IPC chart to the bottom along with attack/damage charts (plus some fancy WW2 pictures). Thought I would share it.

RE: Fighters on Aircraft Carriers
So do the fighters ONLY defend once they are attacked, or can they attack also?

Fighters on Aircraft Carriers
What exactly does it mean when the rulebook says that before combat, each carrier based fighter launches before combat? Where does it go? Is it assumed to be in combat? Since they are assumed to be defending in the air, do they get to attack or just defend? I dont understand the whole carrier based fighters rules. Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Liberating A Territory
Wow thanks I wish the rulebook stated it that way

Liberating A Territory
Page 19 of the rule book states:
“If the original controller’s capital is in enemy hands at the end of the turn in which you would otherwise have liberated the territory, you capture the territory, you adjust your national production level, and you can use any industrial complex there until the original controller’s capital is liberated. You also take ownership of any antiaircraft gun in that territory”Ive read this paragraph over and over and dont understand what it means. Its probably very simple, as I have a way of reading into things a little too much. If anybody could explain this better, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

RE: Fortune Card
Appreciate the quick replies. I was rather skeptical about buying this game due to the fact that I didnt think the card idea would be any good. I figured every turn would basically be the same and no fun would come out of it. I was wrong. I played with my son soon after I brought it home, and had a blast (even though I got whipped). I really got whipped once we used the fortune cards (I rolled too many 6’s).Anyways, I highly recommend this game. Loads of fun.

Fortune Card
Pardon me if this was already covered, but I have a question regarding the fortune card which enables land units to move 2 zones…since tanks can move 2 spaces already as long as the first zone is unoccupied by enemy troops, does this card let tanks move an additional 2 spaces when the card is used (of course if I roll a 1), or does the tank just get to move 2 zones with the rest of the land units?

RE: Aircraft Carrier Question
Makes sense now, I appreciate it. :-D

RE: Aircraft Carrier Question
So once my aircraft carrier moves, my fighter can no longer move even when the carrier stops?

Aircraft Carrier Question
Last week I played with my son, and I had an aircraft carrier with one fighter on it. I moved the carrier 2 spaces then stopped.Afterwards, I moved my fighter that was on the carrier two spaces to attack in Alaska.I would then move the last two spaces back to my carrier if I survived. Is this a legal move? Or can I not move my fighter once the carrier moves then stops? Im a little unclear on this.

SBR
If my opponent does a SBR in my territory and I have units there, does the SBR take place and the bomber goes back to where it came from, or do my units get to attack also? Basically my question is, once a SBR happens, do my units automatically defend by rolling a defense roll or does the SBR happen and thats it…? I hope Im making sense here.

RE: IPC's
OK, Ive printed out the paper money. How do I go about using it?

RE: IPC's
Im not quite sure I understand. Im a bit confused because I see some versions of the game with printed money (I dont know what thats for), and I just dont understand what a seperate piece of paper is needed for. I assumed that after each players turn, you simply adjusted your IPC value according to territories gained and lost. Can anybody clarify this, because Im pulling out my hair trying to understand.
