Pennsylvania: Harrisburg/York region

Convention: World Boardgame Championships (Sponsored by the Boardgame Players’ Association, a group dedicated mostly to Avalon Hill Wargames).

Game: Axis and Allies: Revised Edition (2004).

We use a variant of the LHTR that caps each round at 4 hours. Adjudication is based on which faction controls a greater number of Victory Territories at the end of the time limit.

We usually do 3-4 rounds of Swiss style play (where you play opponents who are performing similarly to yourself), with the top 4 players being determined after a point (based on win/loss record), and then having a playoff to determine the champion.

I suppose I was trying to convince myself I could make the trip . We used to live (20 years ago ) in Woking and my nan and aunt lived in Ashford and Laleham. I know the area well and use to drive from Hereford  twice a month visiting after we moved West. 
London, is another matter!

My son (aka Sgt. Pavlov) have loved playing A&A for a few years now. We started playing in the forums on here since he went to college. Maybe we can set up a day game when he gets home for the summer sometime near the end of April/first part of May. We live near the St. Joe area.

I’ll be sure to post. There is still no word on when the next event will be though.
