• OK, I am not experienced with minitures so I have a couple of “first aid” questions here…

1 - Bent/Bowed Platforms - Anyone know a good technique for flattening them?
2 - (this is going to challenge my, and other’s maturity here)…  I seem to have a problem with… um… limp guns, mostly on tanks and artillery, anyone know a good way to get them straightened back up?  My worst is a German D-Day Marder II.

    Thanks!

  • Good god, I thought you were going to start another thread about medics in AAM.  :x

The easiest way to fix the bent plastics is to run them under hot/boiling water, reposition the barrel/etc back a bit, then dunk them in very cold water. It should hold that, or close to it. If it still isn’t 100% repeat and perhaps bend the offending portion back a little farther than it needs to be.

    Step 1: Obtain viagra.

Step 2: Crush viagra with a heavy object.

Step 3: Mix crushed viagra in boiling water.

Step 4: Dunk the minature with the “limp gun” into the water.

Step 5: Dry it off with a paper towel and viola!

Note: Limp gun will be straight for only 2 hrs.  If limp gun is straight for more than the alloted time, contact Avalon Hill immediately!!  :-D

  • LOL  Thanks for the help!  I’ll be honest… if gun stays hard for more than two hours I am not calling dr or avalon hill until after I talk to my wife!

As for the medics in AAM, a friend was a field medic for a LRRP unit… he found out how useless they were when he broke his own leg!  Give me a Higgins Boat in Africa… or on the standard play map before a medic any day!
