I haven’t played Star Trek Risk (I’m a Risk 2210 fan), but Star Trek Ascendancy is an instant classic in my opinion. It makes my all time top 7, and I recommend it if you like multi-player empire building games and you don’t mind the science fiction.

Isnt it the coolest game of all time? The melee action of CS plus the strategy of well… i dont know :) and the vehicles and gameplay unique to itself… i play it all the time…

while of course, being a game its not true to life (i.e. you dont actually die when your in game avatar does), i would put it above any other online game i’ve played.
The major complaint is that the flying is complicated enough so that it takes massive amounts of practice to get good, but still simple compared to an actual flight simulator.
