Also, by turn 5 or so, the US should be able to turn to Europe, as Japan’s income and navy will both be weak.
You did realize US4 is the first turn, US can even leave Hawaii?

This would make it highly unlikely for them to turn to Europe in US5.

Not likely.
With Russia moving into China in force, Japan will not DOW turn 1.
In the above detailed strategy UKPAC and ANZAC declare war.
Which leaves Japan with no reason to declare at all. They simply have a free go at the money islands and other targets with the US forced to watch from afar.
Why would the UK have to declare war in order to use a blocker? Makes no sense. The UK just needs to leave a blocker in sz 79. Japan HAS to be the one to declare war if it wants to capture UK controlled Persia.
Taking Persia or Iraq in this scenario in J3 is not essential.
If any of them is still neutral you can occupy them without declaring war.
But that’s just bonus.
The real goal ist Egypt J4/J5.
You could try the Japan/Med strategy.
J1 harbour in Hainan. No war. Fleet merge at Hainan.
J2 move whole fleet to India without war.
J3 take Persia and/or Iraq
J4 take Egypt
J5 takes the whole starting IJN into the Med
Germany fights with a cruiser and a fighter against Russia with a submarine and a cruiser.
Russia decides not to dive the sub.
Germany scores double 3.
May Russia take the cruisers hit with his cruiser and declare his submarine immune to the fighters hit?
From my point of view it’s all situational.
Buying 2 Bombers G1 is always a viable buy.
However attacking Malta wouldn’t be my first priority.
If there’s a British fleet in the med in range that should be priority 1, since that annoys Italy the most.
Next in line would be a stack of ground forces in Alexandria.
Malta could be done, but it’s a high risk operation.
May Japan attack Persia (pro allies neutral) whithout declaring war on England?
From my point of view the crucial fight for Germany was Barbarossa.
Loosing the battle for Moscow in late 1941 meant loosing the war whereas winning that fight would have resulted in victory.
Two thing could have been done to ensure victory.
A) Convincing Japan not to sign the Soviet-Japanese Neutrality Pact.
Thus the siberian divisions wouldn’t have had the opportunity to save Moscow.
B) Not attacking Jugoslavia and Greece in spring 1941. This postponed Barbarossa for a full month which resulted in mud and ice.
Just to throw in a thought …
By leaving 111 alive you would grant UK a destroyer which would immediately be put to use huntig your surviving submarines.
Whereas one of the big benefits of your original plan was a “destroyerless” Britain.

My point is that my group plays G40.
We just need 4 different types of dice.
Which I tooled by myself just for us and our needs.
There’s no thought of doing these for anyone else.
If anyone wants to do these, he is free to create five types of dice.
Coming up with five different colours shouldn’t be too difficult.

Why would I need a fifth colour?
I customized my own set of dice:
Red dice have one point on one side.
Yellow dice have two points each on two sides.
Green dice have three points each on three sides.
Blues dice have four points each on four sides.
=> Maximum effectiveness, but a bit of work :-D

I got my inspiration from that one and added the extra holes for 2,3 and 4.
For factories you might consider monopoly pieces.
Green houses an minor factories, red hotels as major factories.
You don’t have to buy the whole game or disrupt your own.
Just buy replacement houses and hotels on ebay. They come cheap.
I tried something by myself.
I ordered blank dice. Red, yellow, green and blue.
The cost 4€ for each pack of 25 dice.
I drilled holes into the surface.
1 hole into 1 side of the reds, 2 holes into 2 sides of the yellows, 3 holes into 3 sides of the greens, 4 holes into 4 sides of the blues. Yes, that were 750 holes.
After that I “borrowed” some black nail polish from my wife and filled the holes.
Next day I cleaned the mess with nail polish remover.
This strategy is a bit easier for new players. You dont have to remember the correct colour. Just take the dice with the 2 dots per side if you need “2-dice” …
