You should ask them for Photo Quality Heavy Stock paper. It usually costs a bit extra, but definitely worth it. Using regular glossy paper just defeats the purpose of printing them as the colors bleed and even the regular glossy paper is not durable enough.

RE: New Maps WHEN!!!???
African maps will be available from me soon. I hear HBFronts is also working on a few campaign related maps for Tobruk. So there will be options.
Playing on the 3 inch heses is a little odd for desert combat given the possible ranges and open lines of fire, however I will be putting up a few for download soon too.

RE: In case you didn't hear, scale-change in the works
Just to let people know - I have created several sets of maps and new rules for use with the AAM 1.0 minis. I will post more on this and the Variant Rules forum when they are ready.
The first sets will be for North Africa and War in Europe Sets. Maps for Pacific Theatre and Alpine are also in the works. So you wont have to pitch all of your minis. There is a use for them, and even WTF or Cando minis can be mixed with them.
I have also created new rules and 400 new unit cards for Italy, Japan, Finland, France, England, and of course German and American.

RE: Making maps and rules for them
I will be adding geomorphic urban maps to my site that allow you to build a very large Stalingrad or Arnhem type city scenario.
These maps are currently undergoing some playtesting, but check the OPM website listed in the other thread on Rommel’s Brigades and you will find the link.

ROMMELS BRIGADES - New Variant Rules for use with AAM
Hi gang,
Welcome to the new forum for use with the Rommel’s Brigades Rules.
This forum is going to be the official Q&A area for questions on the new Advanced rules, as well as the new community site for people who want more information and updates on the game.
As most of you know AAM is a great system, but with many broken rules and abilities. In order to rectify the problems I have taken my own miniatures rules and converted them to make a better game, which can be used with the AAM units if you wish a more advanced and detailed system to play with.
Rommel’s Brigades is an open and more historical set of rules, with more common sense approach to using 1/144 scale WWII miniatures sets.
Over the coming days I will put up links to the new maps, rules, counters and brigade cards so that people can access and download them. The base website and the Mirror for it are below. Check back next week and you will find much that is new and interesting there.
MIRROR
“http://www.geocities.com/opmgames2/RHR/index.html”
If you have any questions or are wondering what its all about then feel free to post here and I will check in once or twice a day to answer them for you.
Cheers

RE: Has anyone tried Qualiy cast?
8 bucks for 24 what though? Seems like that is 8 bucks PER vehicle. Thats dam steep.
Ok for using infantry I guess. Most AAM infantry looks to be about 15mm. But the vehicles would be too large would they not?

I’m not familiar with them. Do you have a web site link?

RE: Making maps and rules for them
Yes there are.
Hbfronts has a Stalingrad thing that I have never seen. But they have one for France too that works at a different scale I think. I have not used or played either so really have no idea other then the screen shots of it look clean.
People like myself also have created maps and rules for Urban combat. But like others I have to do things differently. They are not usuable with tournament games.
The ones that AAM puts out are extremly simplistic and not really correct to scale anyhow. Maybe down the road they will do some WOTC official ones.
