In our AAR games, we added a house rule that makes Fighters and Bombers unable to fire upon subs without the presence of a Destroyer, just like it is in AAE and AAP. Does anybody else do that?

Hi, I’m new to the boards, but I have a funny bad roll story.
I was playing with Banzai Soldiers and Super Dreadnoughts as Japan. I attacked a British Sub with a BB, a DD and an AC. I attacked India with 4 Infantry, 4 Arm, 2 Ftr, and 1 Bomber versus their 6 Infantry, 2 Arm, 1 Bomber, and 4 Ftr.
When I attacked the sea zone, the AC and the DD missed and I rolled a 6 on the BB, then the sub got a hit. I tilted the BB. The AC and the DD missed again and my BB got another 6. The sub rolled a 2 and I lost my DD. So I retreated.
In India, my infantry got one hit, but when I rolled for the tanks and the fighters, I got 6 straight 6s. At least the bomber hit. I retreated after the first round with four casualties.
