    • Do naval and air bases purhcases count toward the ic build limit?

purchased a minor ic, as japan,in alaska, on last turn. want to build an air base next turn. not sure if the base counts as one of the three units as per the limit. I would think not since you can place a base anywhere, even without an ic.

    • RE: Russian Neutrality

I believe Russia is able to move into and activate pro-allied neutral territories, but they can’t invade pro-axis territories until they are at war. Activation of a pro -allied territory for Russia is done in NCM.

    • Blitzing a neutral

Q1 can a tank blitz through an enemy controlled neutral if there are no units on that space? ex: ilalian tank in persia wants to go into eastern persia and then go into West India(there are no units in either tt) on a blitz move. Q2 What if a Russian tank goes into NW Persia, activates the pro -allied tt and goes into Persia (no units on either tt)? Is this legal? East Persia and NW persia have no IC value and there are no infantry being activated. Thanks in advance.

    • RE: Subs

i also like subs, but only on the offensive.they are a little bit like bombers as they can do a lot of damage when in a pack, but they are bad on defense. if used right they can really put a hurt on the enemy. i like using them when i play ANZAC to thin out jap navy

i have magnets that go on the backs of business cards. it is a thin card sized magnet with an adhesive backside. u dont need glue or metal pieces. i cut small pieces for both, the CV and planes. they work great. u can purchase them from printing shops or office supply shops. it took me a few hours to do all my pieces from global.

    • RE: AAG40 FAQ

here is a situation that happened in our game: UK1 a transport unloaded 2 infantry in persia to activate the 2 pro allied infantry.  Q1 who gets the 2ipc? UK europe (since it is on the europe side of the board, or UK India since they activated it.) Q2 who now controls the transport and the 4 infantry now standing on persia? is it UK India who activated it, or, UK europe because it is on there side of the board. This led to much confusion. What happens if a group of UK from each side of the board were to meet in the middle of the board ?? Can either side take controlof these units :???

    • RE: How long do your global games typically last?

1st game I won on G3 with UK takeover. It took about 4 hours. 2nd game we called a draw(i believe i was ahead as axis). It was 2AM and we were too tired to continue. That game was about 8 rounds. Italy was kicking A@#, they had run out of roundels!!

    • Printing money

I thought I heard of a link, to a pdf, where you can print $money$ for AA games. Anyone know about this :?

    • RE: Help, contents

There is no printed money. I use money from my Europe game, when I play Pacific or 1942. The battleboard is very small, it is more of a battlestrip, the same as in the 1942 game. The battlestrip is also printed wrong. You can notify WOTC by e-mail and they will send a new strip sometime in february. I use the battleboard from the Europe game. There are new units and different values between the games but if you play enough, and remember the attack and defence values, than that shouldn’t be a problem.
If you want to play a fun and challenging game these issues shouldn’t prevent you from purchasing it. There are a lot of people complaining about the issues, but all in all, I think most people enjoy the game. Hope this helps in your decision.

    • RE: Printing fixed object on the gameboard…

      @C_Strabala:

Why didn’t WotC print each nations’ original IC’s, airbases, & naval bases on the gameboard similar to the original A&A Pacific. It would save space and you wouldn’t have the risk of accidently knocking the cardboard chits everywhere.

My thinking is that the stand alone games (Pac & Euro) will have different set-ups than the combined game. For example, will India have a major IC in the combined game :?. I doubt it, I would think that it would be a minor IC. So, I believe there will be differences in the set-ups in these games.

    • RE: Opinion poll: What round should Japan attack on? (Day36 to 43 from release date)

I’ve played 7 games so far. The first 2 games I wasnt really sure  :?  of when to attack, as Jap, so I waited till the 4th round. Since then my opponent and I have attacked on the 2nd round. I like the idea of being able to attack the allies whenever you please. It leaves your opponent guessing. There will be times, I’m sure, where i will attack on the 1st round or the 3rd round just to see the variance in the game.

    • RE: Question about ANZAC National Objectives

this topic has been brought up earlier. ANZAC does not have to “control” the territory, they just have to “occupy” it. So if the UK or US control an area, and the ANZAC later land on the territory, than they will get their 1 time bonus

    • RE: Opinions requested

There is no reason to quit after 1 round. The US income is increased by 40 IPC. The Hawaii attack is always an option by Japan, but it does not mean the War is over. With the Jap navy over on the east side of the map the UK/ANZAK have an opportunity to take control of the DEI. Also, the US can build a new navy and build their ground forces if they think a Jap invasion is coming. Play it out for at least a couple of rounds. I once seen someone lose the WUS by the 3rd round, but the war lasted a long time.

    • RE: China start with 6 extra ipc…?

this seems simple to me. When China collects income, if the Burma road is controlled by the allies, they will get 6 extra IPC’s. Why is this any more confusing than the other NO’s? :? I see no reason why they would START with an extra 6.

I purchased this game the day it came out, and have no regrets! Sure there are small issues, but the game itself is very challenging and fun! Looking forward to the global game
