Holy sh*t you are an a$$hole…
When I mean the Soviets are destroyed, I mean that they are all but destroyed. Archangel is the only territory I have left, Moscow has been taken.
Here are 3 pictures:
Trucks follow the same rules as transports but on land, they can carry up to 2 infantry. the point is to be able to move troops more effectively.
Cost - 5
Move - 3
Attack - 1
Defense - 1
Does this sound balanced? Is it useful?
My current game is:
-Russia is all but destroyed, with attacks from Japan and Germany the only Russian units left are an infantry in Archangel and a submarine stationed in England. The my opponent refrains from attacking Archangel, I have a transport from England waiting to evacuate him
-France has been taken by England with a significant US and UK force there, southern Europe(Italy) has no forces but I do not own it
-Asia is mostly owned by Axis powers, but their forces are spread thin
-US and UK navy dominates the Atlantic, there is only a German transport left
-The pacific is dominated by Japan, but I am building a US force to combat that
-USA builds IC in Brazil
-UK builds IC in eastern Canada
-Amass large land forces and transports with battleships and cruisers at both areas
-US moves troops to Africa(already occupied by US in my game)
-US invades Italy, with bombardment support
-On Uk’s turn, the combined canadian and UK forces, perhaps even extra forces from US, do a D-Day invasion on France, again with naval support
-Russian forces attack Germany
Could this work? Are there any major/minor flaws? I came up with this overnight and haven’t tested it so please tell me if this could work.
I’m playing against my dad in the '42 edition(I’m 13) and russia is pretty much screwed. First of all, I failed an attack on norway and my forces were weakened, and I am scrambling to move units back to Buryantia SSR as he has a huge Japanese force that I think is just waiting to attack, I only have 6 infantry and a fighter compared to 5 infantry, two artillery and two fighters and an industrial complex. Germany took Caucus, along with the industrial complex there. I doubt I’ll have enough time to reinforce the area with tanks and artillery. He has taken china but I took French indo-china and am planning a counter attack. The US navy in the pacific is pretty much destroyed, I only have a battleship left in the pacific(the Atlantic navy dominates the area however). The UK is recovering from a failed assault on France(I would’ve won, I had more and better units but had bad luck with the dice). Help me!
So, I was thinking about a thing I made up. Here it is:
Surrender:
If a power owns less than 5 more territories(basically is on the verge of annihilation), the country may “surrender”. The following happens:
-All of the territory is surrendered to the enemy countries, the player(s) will decide which goes to who
-The remaining land units of the surrendering country are given to allied countries, the other half are given to the enemy countries. Air and sea units are automatically moved to the closest allied main country (ex. US or England if country is Russia). If any of sea units are transports, than all the land units that can fit are taken with the fleet.
-All of the IPC’s are given to the surrendering country’s allies.
Does anyone like the idea? Is it unbalanced in any way?
Hello,
I have(well, had) the Revised version before I lost a bunch of the pieces, so I have just ordered the '42 edition online. I am wondering two things:
-I have heard that the Revised map is better. Is it compatible with the '42 edition?
-I have heard Technology is missing from the '42 edition, and is there a way to use it with the '42 edition?
Thanks for all your help in advance!
