    • RE: All Possible Options

      @88:

      Anyone who has the platform can e-mail files back and forth to each other. I’m good friends with the people I play with, so we don’t bother e-mailing dice results after each roll. We take our turn, save it in a recognizable file name, and e-mail it back as an attachment. The person then takes their turn; repeat process. We trust the other person is being honest and not rolling each battle until it comes out the way they want it. Saves alot of e-mails.

      I’ve never played by e-mail with others, so I don’t know what platform is being used by most people. One guy I play against regularly is involved in tournament play at Flames of Europe- they use a completely different platform- you manually set the board every turn. The one I told you about is a little more user friendly according to him.

      AI difficulties are always easy. You can include bids, LL, technology, and a few other options.

      its ff time, get your priorities straight 😄

    • RE: If newbies are playing their first game…

      @bebo:

      Anyone ever just take it easy on new players?  Or just try unorthodox strats?  Maybe against a newb is the perfect time to try a new KJF, or buy that fighter with Russia, or just build battleships with the UK (oh, wait, that might work…)  Or if they are the Allies, perhaps Germany could try for Sealion or Japan go for a big Pacific fleet and shoot for Los Angeles.  I think throwing KGF at a neophyte could be discouraging.

      feel free to try any of those strategies in our game.

    • RE: Playing online

      @Malus:

      I also put on a topic in the games section looking for an opponent. I don’t mind tutoring for a player who’s new to online gaming, as long as you get the basics of the boardgame, so don’t be affraid to reply in my post in the games section.

      Regards,
      Daniel Malus

      send me an e-mail. I use the same map board

      I’ve had a hard time opening Triple A’s programs. Everything is downloaded.
      Have been using ABattlemap program from flames of europe. The triple A version looks better though

    • RE: Transport capacity and the dissappearing artillery

      I don’t spend much on artillery. Mabey a handfull, just enough to give my inf. a little teeth. I voted for makes no difference

    • RE: IC builds for G?

      I think an IC anywhere for Germany is a bad idea. I’d rather have 5inf, or 3 more armor on the board

      logistics is more difficult with the allies, and for newbs, thats the toughest part of learning. I think the Axis are easier for beginners

    • RE: Protecting India…

      @ncscswitch:

      In addition to the drain on the UK economy facing Germany, there is another factor as well…

      In order for the Australian IC to not be quickly lost, the US is going to have to spend a pretty significant amount of IPC’s on naval, AF, and even land forces to be sent to the South Pacific to help protect that IC.

      Pulling half of UK’s resources off of Germany, and probably half or more of the US forces off Germany means that Russia is in deep Kimchee.Â

      And Germany being able to nearly ignore UK and US for even a couple of rounds will MORE than make up for the minor easing of pressure on Russia’s eastern borders while Japan diverts forces to Australia.

      Russia cannot stand alone against Germany.

      exactly…if my opponet ever tried this strategy against me, I’d be very, very happy as the German player

      @Axel:

      Maybe an Australian complex wouldn’t be that bad in the UK strategy you’re talking about?
      Good for having ships and planes and good options to go island hopping soon after…
      right?

      why have Japan spend a turn and go kill you down there. I usually leave Australia alone when I’m playing Japan because its a little out of the way from my strategy, but if my opponet ever put an IC down there I can guarntee that would be 3 IPC’s Brittain wouldn’t be collecting for the rest of the game. And at what cost is this to the effort against germany? Your’re spending 15ipcs and whatever you plan to purchase in Naval and land units to justify the build of the IC in the first place. That is going to end up being quite alot of economy not going into a vital place. Japan can see it coming and react quickly to this move in my opinion. The only place I would consider a factory with the UK is Egypt.
