      Oh yeah, you’re a newbie.  So how about one of Bunnies’ homemade text walls so you get my reasoning why KGF is the way to go for newbie vs decent Axis player.

      Going KJF is a huge pain in the butt.  UK can’t contribute - if they try to put a factory in India, Japan can easily claim it; South Africa and Australia are too far from the action (i.e. Moscow) to be able to be used flexibly.  So you have US going solo against Japan’s gigantic starting navy and air force.  While US is building, though, Japan can also build - Japan just puts out a few cheap ground units to pressure territory in Asia, and builds navy and/or air to maintain superiority over US.  So US screws around while Germany and Japan both pressure Moscow.

      Going KGF solves a lotta problems for Allies.  US can help in Africa.  US can help in Atlantic.  This is usually key if the Axis built German air and/or Jap air went to Europe; the combined UK and US fleets can take a lot of damage.  A really decent Jap player will push Jap air in Europe, so be prepared to do some light Pacific movements while you do KGF.

      On second thought, #3 is a “tactic”, not a “strategy”.

      You should probably skip #3.

      @Guru03:

      My brother always beats me in the 1st round in A&A and i dread playing because of that. Can you give me some good allies and some good axis strategies to help me win?

      One thing you might have failed to realise is that the Allies are supposed to suffer heavy casualties in the early war, and then progress into winning in the long run.

      Think of the axies as the school bully who pushes the young allies around. Then in the long run the Allies go to college and become CEO of Goldman Sachs and proceed to dick on the over-cocky axies. If the Allies give up in the early stages, well they will never win, whilst if they stick to their guns and make the good investments and minimize their loss, they win in the long run.

      I think if I would’ve waited one more turn, I wouldn’t be succesful in capturing the UK as he was building nothing but infrantry to reinforce it. Facing another 10 infrantry would’ve been devastating to my invading forces as a lost a lot of airforce too taking out the Royal Navy. It had to happen turn 3. If by then the Russian attack would’ve come turn 4, I would have been able to release some pressure and that would’ve made an easier game. But I’ll keep this US invasion strategy in mind for another game and when the oppurtunity gives itself, I will post it here. Thank you for listening hehe :)

      Well, the UK will slow down Italy, but with no builds/reinforcements from elsewhere, Italy will overwhelm them eventually and without US intervention it’ll go quickly to a 40-50 IPC Italy.
