As the Germans another fun little trick is use the transports you start with to land in lenningrad and take it very easily on G2 and maybe even G1.

RE: Germany - Attack France, UK, and Soviets on G1?
For the Russians a defensive strategy that works fairly well is to place only one person in your most foward three territories and build you main defensive line in the next four territories. This give you an extra turn to build units and ready yourself while helping the units you make in Moscow get to your front line faster. Also if you play it correctly you can have enough tanks, artillery, and infantry stocked up to launch a massive counter attack after the initial German push to capture the three territories that you left only one guy in. Just make sure to place those three infantry pieces to stop the Germans from blitzing right through your carefully laid out plan. I have tried this before and it really does work well. Because even though after the counter attack the Germans will break through you can just retreat while using the units fom Moscow to bolster the lines you left behind. All in all this is a very good technique for slowing the German war machine and sometimes can slow them down enough to where they have barely begun to push into Russia when America attacks!

No it was more of a straight up dumb-luck type of thing you know?

RE: Attacking
This is not to say that we actually played multiple times but every time we tried to play it the germans were way too overpowerd.

No Air-Force for the Allies
I had the worst game ever as the Allies in A&A D-Day In the first two turns I lost both my bomber by rolling sixes on the fortune card: Bombers return and after that I got a six on the allied reinforcement phase and the next three turns i got sixes on the fighter patrol card and only got to use two of my eight fighters meanwhile the germans got huge numbers of reinforce ments and managed to kill my trickle of guys just as they came of the beach. On turn three i had caen but was never able to begin the push on St. Lo due to limited movement (more sixes) and eventually the germans moved up and even retook caen on the seventh turn!!! One hilarious thing that happened though was that the german player got a one on the blockhouses fire to sea fortune card and then got three sixes on the far right british beach missing an easy kill of one of my tanks and artillery! Ha!

RE: Attacking
Oh, I see now the game was no fun before because the Germans always won in three turns every time we played. Thank you now the game seem like it would be more fun because the allies actually have a fighting chance!!!

Attacking
I have a basic question about how much the Germans can attack in one turn. Can the Germans attack one hex on thier first initiative win the battle then on the next initiative attack from the hex they just took, because that hex had not been activated for attack that turn?

RE: The Defense Of Britain
One thing to remind everyone is that if you are playing Alpha 2+ then if Germany pulls of Sealion in the Second turn then America can jump into the war that turn making it harder to defend Britain from an American counter attack.

Anti-Aircraft Guns
If an Anti-Aircraft gun is situated on an island does it defend the entire sea zone surrounding the island? If not do you think it should?

RE: Ship combat move question
In the rules it states that planes must have a way to land before heading into combat that doesn’t depend on battles that are being fought but an easy way to compromise with someone in that case would be to do the battle with the blockers first and if the carriers make it through with no damage then the player can attack with the planes he wanted to but he cannot change where he is attacking and if one of the carriers dies then the planes it wwas carrying die without attacking and the other planes are the only planes that can attack.
