    • 100% allied victory?

hey guys, im pretty skeptical that against good allied players, the axis (even if they are as good as the allies) will always win. i know the advantages of playing the allies but come on! the axis can get an economic victory over the allies if the axis team has a combined total of 84 IPCs a turn, while the allies have to get a military victory to win.

    • RE: The most important topic ever to be brought up here.

dude, those sandwiches comprised of marshmellows and peanut butter are good , (i think they’re called FLUFFERNUTTERS). but my favoriate sandwhich is an Italian BMT from subway, with lettuce, tomatos, and a hint of mayo. it always goes good with a bag of dorritos, the kind that comes in the yellow bag. i thiknk they’re called baja or something.

    • Atheists in foxholes?

how many of you have heard of the phrase, “you’ll never seen an atheist in a foxhole”? i sure have and i find it somewhat offensive. im a big advocate for our military and Intelligence community and have several members in my familiy who have served this nation honorably (among my familiy are two retired Colonels,US army). i have also greatly considered joining the military, even prior to 9-11. but i am an atheist and it makes me somewhat angry when people say you’ll never see an atheist in combat. to me its like saying the christians in the country are much more patriotic and more willing to sacrifice thier lives for this country. i dont agree with it one bit! atheists can be just as patriotic as any theist, and still be a great soldier/marine as any soldier/marine that is a theist. i dont see where religion comes into play here– fighting for your country is about just that, not about being theistic or atheistic. what do you guys think about that?

    • RE: General Rommel

i am also fascinated by Rommel (but let me clarify i do not aspire to be like him for he was our enemy in WW2 and i would have no problem dropping the hammer on the fellow but there is much to be learned from him) but i dont know much at all about him or even the Wehrmacht. can anyone here recommend any books about either subject.

    • RE: The Existence of God

      Hmm…I disagree.

Not everyone is doing the all the crap that you pointed out. I don’t agree with it, and I sure as hell don’t participate in it.

I completely disagree with your apathy (maybe disregard) for a God. It’s pretty sad (and blatantly obvious) that you have so little humility as to think that you have as much power as God. It’s one thing to not believe in God, but it’s a whole 'nother to think that you have replaced him. Is it that hard to have faith in something? We may not have the scientific evidence that we are all reliant upon for evidence of a higher power, but is it too hard to comprehend that there may be something bigger and more powerful out there…than you?

I feel pretty sorry for you. That’s all I’ve got to say.

first of all deviant, there is no apathy nor contempt towards god because there is NO god for me. gos never existsed in the first place. god ONLY exists as a concept, an idea, which has long been rendered obsoulete in this age of science and technology. furthermore, he/she/it has been fabricated in a mythological fantsay saga called the “Bible”, Koran, the Torah, etc which isn’t anymore valid in regard to seeking the “unanswerabe questions of life, or the life beyond” than J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy or Robert Jordan’s “Wheel of Time” series–which i may add is an awesome fantsay saga. Another thing, and this maybe beyond your little feeble Christian mind’s ability to comprehend, but God was never REPLACED because there wasn’t a god IN THE FIRST PLACE! we (as individual human beings) are ALL our own Gods in our own right. (When i say god is dead though, i mean it is dead as a concept, like an idea for a new Axis and Allies game being flatly rejected by the people who make the axis and allies games.)

Is it that hard to have faith in something?

Well anyone with a fourth of a brain mass would come to the realization that “faith” is totaly futile. Just because we HOPE for something does not mean our wish will have any affect on something in the end.
As a good christian im sure you’ve heard the phrase, “Jessus only helps those who help themselves…” don’t you find that INTERESTING thats the case? that ‘our lord savior HolY Christ’ will only help the poor, foodless mother in Afghanistan feed her children if she gets thhe food herself? Come on man! this is irrational and just plain ridiculous! IF YOU WANT SOMETHING DONE THAN SCREW THE FAITH AND GET IT PHYSICALLY DONE!!!

Look, we all live in this great nation America and one of the tents of the Bill of Rights is that we may worship whatever we want. If you want to be a Christian, fine, do what you want! I personally have nothing against christians untill they attempt to shove thier ideology and religious babble down peoples throat (i also have the same contempt towards people of ANY religion who are responsible for indoctrinating people against thier will) but i do hate the christian religion. if you dont like that–too bad. not everyone in this world is going to agree with your religion–i sure as hell dont.

and another thing, the only person you should feel sorry for is yourself. you have been infected with the “Christian’s Disease” which makes those infected with the inability to see things logically and enslaved to a fabrication that eventually leads to a life of hypocrisy, intolerance, close mindness, and inability to make good judgements

    • RE: Christian Bible - Truth or Lies?

the christian bible is full of lies (along with any other “bible”) because its doctrine contridicts the VERY NATURE OF HUMAN BEINGS. they bible says we should not engage in sex outside of marriage because it is a sin. well, let us ask why we engage in sexual relations in the first place? BECAUSE WE ARE SEXUAL BEINGS who lust for sex. abstaining from our natural acts like sex is the only real sin there is–it is the sin of robbing the people of thier lives in exchange for a “spirtual passport” to a fabricated literary place known as heaven. do yourself a favor, throw out the bible and listen TO YOURSELF. the only god you may save is yourself…

    • RE: The Existence of God

why invest so much time in something that can never be answered. live your life and focus and the present, not the future! we have to experience the present to arrive at the future. besides, what we believe in about death and afterlife is highly irrelevant, what ever happens WILL happen regardless of wether we think we’ll roast in hell or drink milk and honey in the clouds for the rest of eternity. it is also my opinion to say that god is dead, he/she/they have been dead for a while (although how long i still debate) but god has been replaced with truth and science (although some still cling to thier religion) and pro-choice. i mean think about, we are doing things that were once reserved for gods, mass annihilation (nuclear weapons), genetic alteration, etc. also look around at the people walking in the streets, women wear sexy clothing, people drink and do what they chose to do, sex is highly advertised in the media. people have no need for god anymore. god is deader than dead. the moment god died is when people began to ignore thier religion, engage in whatever they wish, started asking questions, rebelling, and when the universe became an OPEN one instead of a CLOSED universe …
