I think the game is balanced as it is. If anything, Germany is a little too powerful. I have never lost as Germany, and have played 4 times as Germany. Maybe I have really good dice rolls. I practice dice rolling. My friends think that it is total crap but I own on dice rolling. Got the idea after watching the history channel, breaking vegas, the dice dominator.

RE: New Axis & Allies Global War Variant (free map)
Looks like you put a lot of time into the map and thank you for posting it online for us. I have breifly looked it over and my initial response is, wow, that is freakin huge. Africa, China, and Russia seem a lot bigger. A game on this could take 12+ hours easily.

RE: 10 video games to avoid
Did anyone ever play Manhunt? That was one messed up game.

Jen “A) The US is a leading nation in recycling.”
I do not think I will ever try and argue or debate with you ever again Jen. You fail miserably at looking at America with critical analysis and admitting we are wrong on something.

RE: One of the best war movies
I have not had time to check the links posted but while on the topic of best war movies, I would vote Patton. Screw all those special effects, ill take oscar winning (and refusal to accept) Georce C. Scott. That entire movie is amazing just to simply watch him portray Patton. I heard Patton in real life actually had a higher pithed voice and it would someone squeak. He was pretty embarrassed about it

RE: Company of Heroes
Yup, it was patched. I always update everything. I tried different times of day, even Saturday night I still could not find a game.

RE: Hearts of Iron, i.e. advanced A&A
This game is dope! I have conquered the world as the Germans on Hard and am currently playing as Russia. 1942, Winter, and the Germans havnt even gotten near Stalingrad, but they are instead pushing towards Moscow. I would love to get online and play with some people.

RE: Company of Heroes
Good game, but the real killer is multiplayer. The online sucks so much. It was impossible for me to find a game. I tried 4 times and never found a game. I guess I have been spoiled by B.net and Steam.

Jen
“The world will end in 10 years if we don’t stop global warming” fear using the 1980s."
But shouldn’t America still try and become more environmentally friendly? I am not quite sure whether you are saying global warming is bs, or that it wont happen for a long time, but we should, as stated before, still become more educated about the environment and recycle.

RE: Stratego Anyone?
If you really love Stratego try and get Ultimate Stratego. It is out of print but you can find it online for 25$. It has a 4 player version and a 2 player lightning version. I think it might be even better than the original Stratego.

RE: Nawlins/Katrina + 1 yr. : What did we learn for NEXT TIME?
completely will completly disagree. I think the media had a heyday with people getting rapped at the dome and dieing there. With your reasoning they should never have gone into New Orleans to stop the riots and crime because the government would look racist. It should not be a racist mind set in the government from the start when a major city is a disaster zone. You certainly have to put some of the fault on Bush, but every level of government failed. Without government at any level, the city tore itself apart. I hope they did not have Balung’s mindset of let the blacks fight it out. What about those elderly homes that were left with no one to care for them? How about the fact that shelters would NOT take pets so people stayed at home because they could not leave their pets behind. It was a horrible scene. I hope we learned something from it, but America will forget about it in 5-10 years, until another hurricane hits sometime.

RE: Nawlins/Katrina + 1 yr. : What did we learn for NEXT TIME?
The problem with getting flood insurance Jen is many. Insurance companies will argue and say it was a hurricane, not a flood. And if you require flood insurance for anybody living below sea level, then insurances would be able to charge more because they know you have no other choice. The government should not support a city like New Orleans by building levies and accepting their tax money, and then when the city becomes flooded you watch them die for a week for two. The government cant take taxes from people and not help them when they are in extreme danger, epically in such mass numbers.

RE: Nawlins/Katrina + 1 yr. : What did we learn for NEXT TIME?
That is exactly what I was saying Jermo.
Jen, I am pretty sure you are religious. Can you tell me that you can watch people die, be it any situation, flood, tornado, terrorist, ect. and not care at all? You do not feel sad at all and wish to help them? As for the liberal view of government comment, what is the role of government? Is it not to help protect society, all of our society, not the few or many, but all. America became the world power house that it is today through the ideas of democrats like Woodrow Wilson and FDR, expanding the roles of the government. The idea of a conservative government died with the stock market crashing in 1929. The limited government watched the poor get poorer and the rich get richer. After that, the government decided that without its help, that America would turn into chaos. The government then got involved with big business to ensure that it would not fail. If the businesses fail, then the government fails. They watch out for each now. So, let us go to a conservative government then Jen, where the government does very little and the greed of people will destroy democracy.

RE: Nawlins/Katrina + 1 yr. : What did we learn for NEXT TIME?
So we are out for only ourselves? We should watch people die and say, that will show them. So if anyone in America is attacked, be it terrorists or mother nature, no one should help them? I am not religious at all and I think that is an asinine way of looking at life. It is one thing to build a home in a flooded area but what of tornados or huge floods like '94.

RE: Media Whoring
Which one is more important? 5 soldiers were killed in a car bomb, or a school was built. Hard choice. Maybe they will stop reporting people getting killed in Iraq when…people stop getting killed in Iraq. I agree with the majority of the posters, watch sportscenter and hope that Ron Artest jumped into the crowd again. I still laugh every time I see it. Or hope for some manager in baseball to go nuts and throw bases and kick dirt.

RE: Nawlins/Katrina + 1 yr. : What did we learn for NEXT TIME?
I found it funny when the New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin defended the rebuilding of his city by pointing out the really really slow building of ground zero. “You guys in New York can’t get a hole in the ground fixed and it’s five years later. So let’s be fair.” He totally owned the reporter.

RE: The Roast of William Shatner
Shatner was the man. Almost anything Star Trek pwns, except that new series, which blows. Why is he not a good actor? I enjoy watching almost anything with him. I really like Adam West as well. They both were forced to be the same character over and over again. Adam West was so poor at one time he was being shot out of a cannon while dressed as Batman. Now that is dedication, or in dire need of money, either way its cool.

RE: Exodus Decoded program
My major problem with any religious text is there is bound to be some biased to it.
