Take it from me, trying new stuff in the league usually backfires. You get creative and then your opponent uses it against you and strangles you… just like Gamerman did to me when I did my first J1. :lol:
Well, Cow and whoever else are so sure this is a good idea….
It’s so hard to tell, as with a J1. You’re definitely not getting ahead on IPC’s and material - the question is - is the sacrifice of IPC’s and material more than offset by the better position?
I guess we should be happy if it’s not a no-brainer which round to attack with Germany and Japan like it was in P40 where you had to attack on J1 every single time…

The main question to ask is: will Moscow fall on G4? If the answer is no
, then if I was playing the Axis myself I would go with the lock on G6. Why do something risky to maybe win 1 round earlier? The G1 attack also presents the Allies with probably the only scenario in which they can hold out in Egypt, so even if Russia goes a turn or two ahead of schedule, Cairo should hold out a turn or two longer, giving the Allies a chance to make their one decisive blow with the US.

Keep in mind that I haven’t made any specific predictions as to if you will win or lose, just that this may be a less certain path to victory.
