Sorry, don’t know if this has been addressed but if so, it’s really hard to find….
If an AA gun is defending (screening) a territory by itself, can it be attacked solely by aircraft without any ground units and be destroyed? Since the new rules state they can be taken as casualties in battle…

RE: How is the balance with the new Alpha 2 changes? Please give your view.posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Just a thought, in our games we allow all fighter’s in england to scramble not just 3. This allows the english to build fighters which means that sealion will be hard for germans unless they deploy alot of air power to defend the fleet. Also the brits can then redeploy the fighters to other areas when the germans go elsewhere.

RE: Anyone played (just) A&AE40 with alpha2 yet?posted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
Just started one. Had to change rule for england to allow all fighter’s to scramble to make sealion more difficult as we only play low luck. Otherwise sealion is a forsure. Will let you know how it goes only on turn 3.

Also the russian sub attack against the german sub on turn 2 is at the germans descretion as he can submerge before any combat that does not have an opposing destroyer.

RE: Operation Barbarossa, What turn?posted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
G3 so far seems the best. I build up trans on turn 2 to make the brits defend against sealion so they can’t put more units in africa. After all if you can’t take and hold alexandria with the italians you can’t win as the axis. When I have waited to turn 4 the US always starts putting too much pressure on europe and the extra turn of Russian build up makes it very difficult to take out all the russian citys before the us is invading.

Mech Infantryposted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
Question, I’ve looked at all the post I could find on mech inf movement but could not find an answer to this question. If a ground unit captures an area can a mech inf move thru that area that same turn and capture another area. I don’t think so but could not find that example anywhere. I know if with armor they can blitz but if ground unit captures and stays in first area can they do this?

RE: Russia Conqueredposted in Axis & Allies Europe 1940
Sorry I didn’t have my ducks in a row on that post. I tried sealion on 2nd turn and even tho I had a decent shoot at it I failed. Sorry I don’t remember what the units where, I think I had 6 ground units and lots of aircraft, but he built all ground units to defend plus his 3 fighters. Really bad dice roll, oh well thats A&A.
