Nevermind……I only just picked this game up again (and have only played it maybe four times) and I actually posted this exact question about a year ago regarding the same situation and the same guy. It’s funny though, that I was just as bothered by this, what I would call a Broken mechanic, back then as well. The real problem is that I’m struggling just to get familiar with the game and the shear number of units, let alone all the SA’s and loopholes. I need another newb to learn this game with cuz everytime I play with my buddies they just see it an easy win and show no mercy. I’m usually sunk by the 3rd turn.

Question about Disruption…
Is it true that if you move second during your attack phase, and choose to move a tank instead of attacking with it, and with this tank you draw defensive fire and end up with a face up Disruption, that the Disruption only lasts for a matter of seconds until the casualty phase immediately following that attack phase?
I’m trying to learn this game but my friends all have played it quite a bit and know the in’s and out’s of the rules and are not shy about exlploiting these little things. It seems to me that if you become disrupted by defensive fire you should be penalized for a turn.

RE: Defensive Fire Timing…....Can This be Right?
Alright, but I’ll be keeping an eye on you. So you’re telling me that the name Hazzard means nothing more to you than possibly “The Dukes Of” ? Must be just a coincidence then.

As a matter of fact. Vinius……I think you’re the guy I’m talking about. Just a hunch.

Dang……Looks like we’ll just have to out think him then. I just wanted to make sure one way or the other that we had it right. Thanks for the clarification.

Defensive Fire Timing…....Can This be Right?
So this is what’s happening. A buddy I play with almost goes out of his way to lose initiative. Having done so, one of his favourite plays is to wait till his assault phase, and surround someone with a swarm of armour in such a way that if they move anywhere they draw defensive fire from someone. This in itself is not a problem, but what’s irritating is that on his assault phase he draws defensive fire on purpose and the rules seem to state that if he gets disrupted it comes off on the very next casuality phase, meaning as soon as he done moving on his assault phase if he does get disrupted from defensive fire there is seemingly no penalty because it comes off in like 30 seconds……is all this correct? It seems broken if it is. It sort of undermines the rule. What about the poor guy who got disrupted from defensive fire during his movement phase and one rendered useless for the round? Someone please tell me that we are playing it wrong…please?

RE: Clarification for a newb…..
Yup, Thanks guys. This is pretty major stuff, so I wanna make sure I got it right.

RE: Clarification for a newb…..
Thanks……so If that’s the case how does a person deal with Superior Armour 2? It looks like a person needs to beat another units defence by 2 in order to register 2 hits, when normally it would have been three. So what does one need to roll to score just one hit?

Clarification for a newb…..
Now, I have searched this so don’t get mad. It’s just that even the search results seem to be giving me conflicting results. So here’s my prob:
As far as I can tell from the rules (there’s a full page example laying it all out) All hits within one simultaneous attack phase are stacked, even from multiple attackers. Tank A has a defence of 5. Tank B attacks A and rolls 5 successes, matching Tank A’s defence and scores ONE HIT. Same phase, Tank C comes in and rolls 6 successes against Tank A, scoring TWO HITS. These attacks combined, as I read the rules, says Tank A has received 3 total hits and is destroyed.
Maybe I’m preaching to the choir here but, there seems to be alot of confusion surrounding this, I’d appreciate it if someone could help cement this for me. Thanks.
