RE: What's New at Historical Board Gaming?
Hey GHG!
The other option for the subs is since they have been drawn into a naval battle due to scramble and there are no attacking subs or destroyers, they can do a surprise attack on the two Japanese cruisers and/or carrier. If they hit, then attacker must select casualty without a defense. This is due to the fact that step 3 of naval combat (attacker rolls) doesnt Happen until decisions regarding sub surprise attack occur.
If they hit twice on surprise Then here is the scenario:
Attacker must pick loss - either the two cruisers or the carrier…or one hit on carrier and lose one cruiser. Well…
-
if they choose the cruisers to lose then the carrier can’t attack the planes. Uh oh…
-
if they choose the AC as a loss then two planes are lost that needed to land on a carrier.
-
if they choose to loose one cruiser and damage the carrier, then hey will loose two planes as well…although they would be able to attack the planes wth the cruiser.
Basically…a mess for Japan. Better hope USA doesn’t know they can surprise attack.

RE: Breaking News - Shapeways.com
EBard,
First-thanks for watching the video! Love your pieces.
Second - That’s Interesting. I went back and checked my order to make sure I didn’t make a mistake on my end. I confirmed that I did order a large AND small as of each Pacific annd Europe victory city sets. So I guess your assumption is correct - they must have accidentally mixed up a few pieces. No worries. Turns out I like the large better anyway:-)

Awesome! Just ordered my set(s)! Ordered the $9 Sydney/US/Japan set to replace my original capital set as well as the smaller Europe/Pacific, the larger Europe/pacific and the larger capital set. I got them all!!! I Figure I’ll select the size of the pieces I like for each city and gift the others to a friend:-)
Great work, EBard! Thanks for doing this!!!

Berlin: Reichstag building

How much bigger would you want them to be?

RE: Nation- (and City-) Specific Victory City Markers
Bob77,
I got an email today from Ebard and he plans on finishing out the set of city markers. This is great news as he does great work! He said he needs a few weeks if not months to complete the set, but that it is in progress now. -
Breaking News - Shapeways.com
Hey all,
For those of you who are familiar with Shapeways.com and 3D printing custom pieces, you are probably aware that they offer custom Victory City and Capital City Markers. The pieces are very good quality and I happen to own both sets (Capital and Victory City). The issue (as you are probably aware) is that neither set is compete. The 2 design companies that create them are EBard and Ossel’s.I have been in contact with EBard to ask if they would consider finishing out the set. Apparently I am not the only one who has been asking:-) I received a response today from EBard saying that they plan on finishing out the set! Of course, this will take several weeks and perhaps a few months. Nonetheless, we will finally have a completed set for G40!

Atlanta Axis and Allies
Hey all,
Fairly new to the Atlanta area and curious if there are any Atlanta players out there? Been a long time fan since the 80’s and have YG/Intrepid’s map file printed and willing to host some games if anyone is in the area.
