RE: Just bought Bulge today using Credit Card rewards , expect delivery very excited
I’ve had the game a few months now and am enjoying it. I followed some of the pointers found here in this forum and can confidently play either side now.

RE: Is this game worth buying?
@Imperious:
I have 3 copies of this game minus the trucks. I can sell them for really cheap?
PM me if interested in 1-3 of them. You can just use about anything for a truck unit.
Hello IL!
To what purpose did you use the trucks? A special Modification to the rules, a house rule? or do you just like those little GMCs and Opels? I love’em.Yes worth it, got the game around Jan 10, 2010 and have played the Allies, still losing, but getting better.

But it may be worth a phone call.
Perhaps someone else here will find this information useful. -
RE: How many bombers is a good stratagy?
Given Krieghund’s Response on another thread regarding PI, perhaps there is good reason for US to purchase bombers in earlier rounds.
I look forward to play testing that scenario.
Thanks. -
RE: WHAT ARE THE MOST JAPANESE IPC'S YOU'VE SEEN AFTER TURN 1?
Wow, very good advice, I hadn’t considered that tactic. Net time I play US in A&AP, I got a surprise for Japan! (if he fails to take PI)

RE: Looking for a game
I am a little trepidatious, but I will step up. I’ve played A&A Revised for about a year now, got hooked last year and bought or received as gifts several of the variants.
I am most enamored of the A&AP, but usually play Revised or something else because my A&A friends out vote me as to which board we play.
Is it an email game?
Who can step up and be 3rd? -
RE: This has probably been asked before but…....
Perhaps go with your heart. I , a dilettante student of the Pacific war, first purchased AAP because that is where my interests lie.
I will get Guadalcanal soon.If you are fascinated by a particular aspect or theater of WWII, get the game that plays out that theater. If you are fascinated by DDay, get it!
Support your local store and let them know you’ll be back for other versions! -
RE: How many bombers is a good stratagy?
Bugs- How many lumps do you want?
Pete Puma- " Aw 3 or 4",
maybe Pete is right, 3 or 4 can be decisive in certain battles as it is very nice to have 4 dice at 4 when attacking. Of course it depends on who you are playing as bombers are good offensive weapons and poor defensive weapons.
If you are the allies and expect Japan to smack you hard for a few turns, bomber purchases can be futile and your IPCs are better spent on fighters and other strong defensive units.Japan- Very useful early on.
Allies- Depends on the success of J1 and J2. If Japan pins the Allies back, bombers can be a waste of money. -
RE: WHAT ARE THE MOST JAPANESE IPC'S YOU'VE SEEN AFTER TURN 1?
It isn’t necessary, but certainly helps. In J1, if you don’t attack PI, you should at least surround it and use non combat moves to stage a J2 attack and capture. It is key to a Japanese Victory Point win. Last game I played, the Japanese player waited until J2 to invade PI, it was a successful tactic.
