    • RE: What to do with Japon ships after pearl

      Sorry, I’m french 😉

      I built normal on J1, 2transports and 3 inf.

I usually go in pearl with both Battlecruser, the sub, the carrier and 2 fighters (or 1 fighter and 1 bomber).

I usually kill the sub and if unlucky 1 fighter. Remaining alot to hold counter attack from USA west coast.

Huh? I dont see how I can take Hawai on J1 and Australia on J2

I can take water on J1, but do I really bring a transport on J1 in pearl battle ? And if so, the probability to be hit twice (sub and ???) is there, do I choose to remove a figther instead of the transport? So then, I can take Hawai on J2, and Australia on J3 .

      Any comments

And with that strategy, you are not scare to loss the preasure on Moscow and on the mainland ???

Taking Hawaii is only worth 1PCs… and to build up in Alaska mean to have a good % of your troops there…and not walking on Moscow…

But I think this liberate pressure on Germany, since the US would have to concentrate on the pacific…

I’ll try that next game and see what happens 😉

      Thanks for the response

    • What to do with Japon ships after pearl

Hi, simple question… what do you guys do with the remaining ships after pearl, if USA concentrate on Germany? Usually I go hard on pearl harbour, so I normally still have both BS, the carrier with 1 figther after the first turn. If USA respond and come to Pacific, I’m ok, but what if USA just build on Estearn front ? Do You return you ships to Japon, or you have other ideas ?

      Sorry for my english 😉

    • RE: Question with BID

      Thanks for both answers.

For Baker: So, in your opinion, I should forget about Africa and move directly ASAP on Russia. Is that your plan in that situation ???

Again, thanks for the input, I think thats close to what I originaly thought.

With that situation, what I understand, is that I should not bid 21 but higher to have a chance… 😉

    • Question with BID

I have been playing for A&A since a couple of weeks. I also play the CPU version, but the CPU is to dumb to have interresting game.

With my group, we play with original 2nd ed. rule and with BIDs. Extra units MUST be place on IC, so I cannot place units directly on africa. Lets say I won the bid at 22 IPCs. What do you purchase and where do you place your extra units. I usually like to put a TRAN on the med and 1 tran on the Jap sea, but this leaves me only with 1 extra inf for germany.

      Thanks for any suggestions/comments

PS: Sorry, I usually speaks french so my english is not the best 😉
