For the record I fixed this by configuring the router to allow port forwarding at port 47624. Found that hint somewhere else.

CDROM help II: Attempting to start the turn ….
OK, I have connect. Multiplayer screens are live. But when the guest accepts and the host, seeing that, presses begin, it goes to “Attempting to start the turn…” for 10 seconds, times out, and it’s back where it started, with the guest needing to accept.
How do I get out of this infinite loop, please?

Help please with multiplayer using CDROM
I have updated to Ver 1.33. I am unable to connect peer to peer. My questions are:
1. Is there a very specific sequence of button pushes that works? When joining, what do I put in the fields? My IP, or the host’s? My name, or the host’s? I’ve tried all combinations. Always get an unable to connect error.
2. Does anyone have the CDROM manual they can share with me? Perhaps send a scan?
3. I only have CDROM copies. Is there something uncopyable about the original such that I need an original to do multiplayer?
Thank you for any helpful input.
