      Hello!

My name is Heath and I live in the United States. I own Axis & Allies 1942 2nd edition, Europe 1940 2nd edition, and Pacific 1940 2nd edition. I enjoy to making alternate versions of G40. I am currently working on a cold war variant of G40 and I am considering buying A&A 1914, and/or Global War 1936.

Axis & Allies 1946 Cold War Version

I have created an Axis & Allies Cold War 1946 variant for a G40 board. My inspiration came from Jostermann’s Axis & Allies Cold War Variation, and this setup I found online. I think that the game is heavily tilted in favor of the allies so any feedback on how I could fix this would be great.

      AXIS AND ALLIES: COLD WAR

      Countries:

NATO: United States of America, United Kingdom, French Republic, Latin America, Commonwealth of Australia, Commonwealth of Canada, Republic of China, Japan/Korea/Thailand, Kingdom of Italy, Kingdom of the Netherland and Belgium.
COMMUNIST COUNTRIES AND ALLIES: Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Peoples Republic of China, Pro Communist Countries.

Due to the number of countries, you will need to use forces/pieces from other games or come up with a system that works for you.

      THE SITUATION:
When the game begins, the only war going on is between the Peoples Republic of China, and the Republic of China. The USA may not declare war on the Soviet Union. There will be a state of war between the USA and the Soviet Union only if the Soviet Union declares war on NATO. Other NATO countries may choose to declare war on the Soviet Union, but that will not bring the rest of NATO into war. The Soviet Union cannot declare war on individual NATO countries. Any Allied Nation can declare war on Pro Communist Countries at any time. The same goes for the Peoples Republic of China.

      HOW THE WAR IS WON:
NATO wins by holding Moscow, Iraq, and Jehol for a complete round of play. The Communist Countries win by holding 6 of the following cities for a complete round of play: Washington, Ottawa, Paris, Rome, London, Tokyo, Sydney, Calcutta, Manila, Honolulu, San Francisco, Shanghai.

      SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Japan/Korea/Thailand may only purchase infantry, and artillery. All Chinese territories conquered by NATO will become a part of ROC/K/J.

Korea can be occupied by two opposing powers at the same time due to the fact that it is split into North Korea and South Korea.

      Strict Neutrals:

Strict Neutrals are not part of any alliance and in this version you will gain no penalty for attacking them other than possibly losing to the territory’s military. But if you attack a part of a country and not the other, the rest of that nations army will revolt against you. Example: if you attack Northwest Persia, Persia and Eastern Persia will revolt against you.

      Switzerland: 2 infantry

      Afghanistan: 1 infantry, 2 artillery

Saudi Arabia: 4 infantry, 2 tanks

      Sikang/Tibet: 2 infantry

Persia: 3 infantry, 1 strategic bomber

      Northwest Persia: 1 infantry

Eastern Persia: 1 infantry, 1 artillery

      Pro allied neutrals:

Pro Allied Neutrals can be activated only if the country that activates them is at war. Pro Allied Neutrals can also be attacked by any of the Pro-Communist Powers at any time.
If you attack Rio de Oro, you will be at war with Spain and vice versa. If you are not at war you can still pass through the territory, You just can’t activate it. If a country is attacked or activated, its forces will join a different power depending of the territory. I will list what power they will join next to the territory’s name.

Spain (European Allies): 2 infantry, 2 tanks, 1 fighter, minor industrial complex, air base
      SZ 91: destroyer, transport
      SZ 92: destroyer
Rio de Oro (European Allies): 1 infantry

      Peru (Latin America): 1 infantry

      Bolivia: 1 infantry

      Paraguay (Latin America): 1 infantry

      Uruguay (Latin America): 1 infantry

      Pro Communist neutrals

Pro Communist Neutrals can be activated only if the country that activates them is at war. Pro Communist Neutrals can also be attacked by any of the Allied Powers at any time.
If you are not at war you can still pass through the territory, You just can’t activate it. If a country is attacked or activated, its forces will join a different power depending of the territory. I will list what power they will join next to the territory’s name.
