I didn’t use UK dd to attack damaged Ger BB so GER sub couldn’t be used to take a hit. I used the UK dd to let the bomber attack the 2 GER subs by Canada. Odds in my favor 2 units attack of 6 against 2 units defense of 1 + 1. Of course, UK only scored 1 hit but both subs scored 1’s. Luckily, subs can’t hit air, so my bomber survived but couldn’t attack the sub again.
UK fig from GIB was moved to what I thought was sz96 but computer placed it on Malta (the list of units in Malta extended into the SZ). Luckily for me, the UK cruiser hit the Ita DD and the DD missed.
Note, UK left its dd in Med off Egypt so ITA can’t bombard during amphib. Greatly reduces odds of ITA taking Egypt on 1st turn but risks sacrificing the dd. Chose to destroy ITA army rather than attack the ITA fleet like you did in our prior game. -
Took me around an hour to decide what to do with Italy’s main forces and by that time i had forgotten about italian african forces until after combat phase which i wanted all four to take Kenya :|

Never tried this, you have 70% odds. In my new game with Bismarck, me as Ger turn 1, I lost 2 air in sz111 and he scrambled 3 fig in sz110 so I lost 4 more air. Plus 2 Ger subs against Canada both lost and Canada dest survived.

Yeah ive been reading along. Sucks to lose that 106 battle. I sometimes prefer to gamble and send 1 SS vs gibraltar cruiser
