Couldn’t have said it better. It wouldn’t involve none of this “give me a half scoop” crap, when I go down to Africa, the UK player better frickin’ clench their cheeks and prepare for what’s about to hit them because I dont care if Italy does it, or Germany does it, Africa, and the Middle East are all being taken.

And I’m not screwing around with Russia either, obviously i’d still do a natural G3 Barbarossa since it’s not too early and not too late and do just as I would normally with Barbarossa, pumping out those tanks and takin’ it to the Soviets on the Eastern Front.

@cwo-marc I think I’ve been unintentionally making confusion by mumbling several things together —
playtesting the game itself
hosting a tournament
and figuring out the mathematical relationship I wanted

For the tournament, players would not get to determine their color or position in the turn order because I’m going to base it off of the chart I showed earlier. However, after playtesting, the final game should be just like Axis and Allies and most other games, in which players pick or agree on who plays what. So the game isn’t going to decide that for the players. I’m just arbitrarily choosing to do so to try to make a tournament for playtesting. My goal is to eventually have a game where all colors and places in the turn order are equally appealing.

Anyway, I don’t want to take any more of your time, but before you leave, I want to thank you for all the helpful questions and information you’ve shared! I knew I’d get some excellent advice from this forum.

Very interesting perspective. While I totally agree with your points, I was assuming you were going to talk about a lot of tangible in-game situations. Yes, of course there’s an exchange of resources that obviously doesn’t do the Allies any favors, and some movements will be made easier for the Axis and Comintern. But besides that, I was struggling to think of anything HUGE.

But you’re talking about intangibles, which is a very very good point! It’s such a large part of the game. Another thing that makes every game unique, isn’t it? I know with us, a play group that typically consists of my twin brother and dad, we most definitely hold grudges for backstabbing or alliances formed against one another. I think it most definitely comes into play!

Might be herculean though, as I imagine it would require a whole sub-thread so as to keep one persons report and potential updates separate from the others.

Anyone think that would be worth having here? I know I used to look at different blogs or posts here of peoples A&A games with the reports and pictures of everyone’s turn by turn games with descriptions. I found them to be a lot of fun!

If no traction, maybe not worth it. But if enough people thought it would be good, I’d be happy to ask djensen on the possibility of having that set up!
