IMHO, you are well advised to maintain German air power as long as possible to delay Eng or American reinforcements for the Soviets.

Africa is such a big plus because of the drop in Eng IPC against German air.

All the while the Japanese land advance forces Russia to defend Moscow, rather than attack Germany.

In Classic, which I adore since '91, I always build ICs in Japan because I want armor (amor?) fast against Soviets.

IC on 1st purchase, even if it gets captured, or suffers a SBR.

I send everything possible to Pearl on the first round attack, with the sub and one TRN.

IMHO, Asia ICs negate American Aggression, in Pacific, because the appetite of Japan armor persists even if Japan must meet American naval advances.

While America is ‘aggressive’ in Pacific protecting her daughter, the Phillipines, her distant cousins, are left to flounder.  Without American support, Luftwaffe eliminates Allied shipping.

Kindly Uncle Joe, is put to an early retirement while America plays in the Pacific.

The start post is J1 = IC + TRN.  Si!!!

The J1 Attacks?

1. Move to Pearl with everything possible, ie BB, CV, BOM, Sub, TRN, 3 FTR

2. Kill the American FTR + the two INF!

Only these attacks because I want to concentrate my forces.  I want everything available J2.

Occasionally, the defenders at Pearl loss all (awwww) and J losses nothing.  Other times, just the transport.  But I want to get all my hits, 3, in my first roll!  Supersubs, anyone?

Placement is IC at the bottom, IndoChina, away from Russian harm.  I fly the remaining aircraft and use the TRN with 2 INF from Clark, I mean the Phillipines.

In the many games I have played, some lost, I never felt J1 = IC ever was the proximate cause of my loss.

Of course, additional Asian IC(s) built by Japan are deployed against Russia.

I’ve not tried limited infantry games, sounds cool…

Even a small Russian airforce can really bite an Japanese overreach and provide extra time for England/Us materials to reach Uncle Joe.

I agree with the above post….Aggressive America with Naval against Japan is just a bad strategy.

Build/Maintain German Air Power with the breathing room this gives you.  Never allow British to maintain any shipping.

BTW,  Seeing other strategies in other groups is the best isn’t it!!

What do you mean “naval dominance”…you have destroyed British naval forces for all time!!!  Yes…

And what is “march you to the sea”??? By Ruskies?  If Germans have destroyed British resupply of Russia and you control the IPC of Africa, a very good strategy, Germany should have enough production to resist solo advance by Russia.

If nothing else, a hardy defense, while Japan chops off huge chunks of Asian territory…
