Ready for my first online game

Yeah i can break you in if you like. I wouldnt mind playing Axis if thats Ok. Ive entered in the Global 40 tornament so when that starts late August that may have to take priority if that ok. I should still be able to get some moves in though. Let me know when to start.

No idea what that is, I was going to move pieces around on my board at home. I thought thats how everyone did it until I saw that you are playing a couple of games and realized thats not possible. So where do I load this Abattlemap? Going home now, will check back in a couple of hours.

You don’t need it you can just name where all your units are at the end of the turn

e.g.

Russia: 3 Infantry 1 Artillery 1 Tank
SZ 4: 1 Sub
etc

Go to this link and then download - Download HolKann’s Abattlemap 8.0 Installer and install into your computer where you know where it is, or just the default install if you are familiar with Windows structure.

download - Download TMTM Mod Version 3.1

put this map with the others maps that the 8.0 Installer creates, then run the ABattlemap.exe , top left is tabs for file and new, click on new, go down to Alpha +2 3.1 and play. Since I am starting with Germany I will post the map on our game thread, you will want to download it to a folder (make an AXis and Allies folder on your desktop for saved games). Then in Battlemap go to file then open and find the map that you downloaded and it should have all the moves that I have done. You can then relate in back to the CM and NCM that have been typed out. Sounds like a lot of effort but once you have it installed it makes life really easy. Ill start a thread for us, let me know if you get stuck. I wont mind at all if you take a bit of time to get familiar with the interface.

Ok cool so you should have a folder called T40.gim        if you have something that says T40 version 3.1 then that is the rar file and you have to right click on it and go to extract in this folder. This will then have the usable file of T40.gim

Also where did you save battlemap, because in that save location is where you have to put that map, youll know its the right one as there are heaps of other folders with .gim

Yes right you need a program called WinRar, just google it and install. Its pretty much like winzip it compresses files so they are smaller for downloading etc. Once you have that installed you will then be able to extract from that T40 Version 3.1 RAR file. Which will give you the T40.gim file. I know this seems messy but its quite the common practice for getting files. Try that anyway and see what you think.

Go here, this is our thread, at the bottom is a file to download which is my German combat move. Pretty much decide if you want to scramble then I will roll die here in the forum then make all the neccessary adjustment after combat, then do combat moves and repost with a new map. You then take that map and save as 1bR, and then take Russias go.
