It didn't blitz.  It went through Russian controlled E. Poland into German controlled Hungary, which is a legal move without being paired.

I've had that fight before (with me arguing it cannot!) and Krieg shot me down.

i know. i've had the same argument (and i was on your side). at this point i am totally confused about how mech inf works, so i will concede the point and move on. my bet is that if you posted a poll on these boards and asked people to define how mech inf work, you'd get a myriad of answers. i don't think there's much consensus... in another one of my games your move above would be hotly contested, but it's not a big deal to me.

except... that now i have to play japan. yuck. what a mess...
