So after receiving my copy of Stalingrad I have read through the rules a bit, unboxed it, and watched some videos on it. I have come to a conclusion on what the Minor Axis units can and should be used for.

Utilities -
Use these pieces to do the jobs that you would rather your German units not do. Like blockers, gap fillers, and meat shields for your German units (even including German Infantry). The only pieces you will want to keep is the Minor Axis Artillery units.

Extra Artillery -
The Minor Axis Artillery are the exact same as the German counterpart so if for some reason you run out of Artillery as the German player just buy some Minor Axis ones if you need more Artillery.

In conclusion, the Minor Axis Infantry should not be bought only use the ones on the board for various “junk” jobs. But the Artillery can be helpful if you run out of German Artillery.
