The Spring Gathering is entering it’s 16th and Greg Smorey, who organizes the Origins and Gen Con Axis & Allies events, wrote us with some details about this year’s Spring Gathering. Spring Gathering takes place in the Cincinnati area on April 6-7, 2018.
Join us for the 16th Annual 2018 Axis & Allies Spring Gathering 16, April 6th from 4-11pm and April 7th, 8 am – 8 pm. This year’s Spring Gathering 16 will be held in Alexandria, KY (Cincinnati, Ohio Area) at the Old St. Mary’s Gym. For more details on directions and registrations, go to the SmoreySwamp.
The Spring Gathering is a day and a half mini CON that focuses mostly on Axis & Allies board games and miniatures but also includes many other family and strategy games! Games like Settlers, 7 Wonders, Lords of Water Deep, Alhambra, Castles of Mad King Ludwig, and IKUSA are just to name a few.
Game Designer Philip Dubarry will be on hand on Saturday, as well, to introduce and demo his latest Kickstarter game Black Orchestra, by Game Salute.
Main events will include a 1942 2nd Ed. Tournament, a Global ’42 Tournament and an Ascension Deckbuilding Game Tournament.
Prizes will be given away to all-tournament 1st and 2nd place players and all attendees will have a chance to win great Door Prizes throughout the day on Saturday, on the hour every hour.
