The first major Axis & Allies event of the year is once again the Battle of Tennessee at the Lakeside Resort in Smithville, Tennessee on February 5 through February 8. It’s not too late to join the fun!

Details from organizer Brian Dixon:

Please join us for the 2nd annual Battle of Tennessee AXIS AND ALLIES TOURNAMENT.

TIME: The weekend after the Super Bowl – Thursday, February 5, 2014 (10AM Central) through Sunday, February 8, 2014 (1PM Central).

PLACE: Lakeside Resort and Educational Complex, 358 Relax Drive, Smithville, TN 37166 Phone: 888-839-4799 You may visit their website at www.lakesideresort.com. We should have discounted rooms and cabins available. Rate details will follow.

We plan to have a 1942 2nd Edition tournament and an Axis & Allies Global tournament using the G42 start and set up rules. We will observe the same time limit rules Gregory Smorey uses at GenCon.

We will also have tables for side games of all A&A variants, including Classic, AA50, WWI 1914, etc.

The Tournament is free. The Lakeview tournament rooms and trophies are sponsored by Luke Collins. Donations are gladly accepted! You will need to book your own reservations, and I highly recommend you stay at the Lakeside Resort. It is a great place to bring your entire family. We hope to see you there!

WOW! The Battle of TN was awesome! Everything was perfect-the hotel rooms, the “war room” with a killer view, the fellowship and of course the games. This is my favorite Axis and Allies event hands down. Thanks Luke Collins and Brian Dixon for making this event happen. I am looking forward to our fall event!!

Cool, used to play this game when I was a kid. Had no idea anything like this even existed.
