Up until now, I have revealed just about everything regarding the new Axis & Allies Europe 1940 game except National Objectives and the new optional Technology Rules. This preview goes over the National Objectives and bonus income for both the Europe only game as well as the Global game. The bonus income for the National Objectives is collected during the Collect Income phase.
National Objectives for Europe 1940
Germany – Lebensraum
G.1 — 5 IPCs when the Axis control all of the following: Poland, Norway, Denmark, Holland/Belgium, and the three home French territories.
G.2 — 5 IPCs when the Axis control either Leningrad or Stalingrad.
G.3 — 5 IPCs when there is at least one German land unit in Egypt.
G.4 — 5 IPCs when Germany controls both Denmark and Norway and Sweden is neutral or controlled by the Axis.
Soviet Union – The Great Patriotic War
SU.1 — 5 IPCs when the Soviet Union is at war, SZ 125 is free of Axis ships, Archangel is controlled by SU, and there are no other Allied units in the original SU territories.
SU.2 — When the Soviet Union controls its original territories, collect 3 IPCs for each originally German territory that the SU controls.
United Kingdom – The British Empire
UK.1 — 5 IPCs when there are no German subs on the board.
UK.2 — Collect a one time 5 IPC payment the first time the UK liberates one of: Normandy/Bordeaux, Holland/Belgium, or Western Germany
Italy – Mare Nostrum
I.1 — 5 IPCs when the Axis control Egypt, Greece, and Southern France
I.2 — 5 IPCs when there are no Allied surface ships (there can be subs) in the Mediterranean Sea as defined by SZ 92 to 99.
I.3 — 5 IPCs when Africa contains no Allied units
United States – The Sleeping Giant
USA.1 — 30 IPCs when the USA is at war and controls both Eastern and Central USA. (For the Global game add Western USA to this list)
USA.2 — Collect a one time 5 IPC payment the first tim the UK liberates one of: Normandy/Bordeaux, Holland/Belgium, or Western Germany
National Objectives for Global 1940
G.3 and G.4 from above and also
G.5 — 5 IPCs while not at war with the Soviet Union
G.6 — When the Axis controls Leningrad, Stalingrad, or Moscow, collect 5 IPCs for each city under Axis control.
SU.1 from above and:
SU.3 — When the Soviet Union controls its original territories, collect 6 IPCs for each originally German territory that the SU controls.
J.1 — 5 IPCs for each of the following territories when Japan controls it: Honolulu, Sydney, and/or Calcutta
