Maybe the test gives you points for doing it quickly? I definately think that I got more than 1 wrong.

This is pretty cool
I will be appearing on the weekly broadcast of http://www.yankeefanclubradio.com/ on Sunday, December 17th between 6 and 7 PM. We will be discussing my blog and the Yankee minor league system.
The radio broadcast has seen people like John Sterling, Jayson Stark, Ken Rosenthal, Alan Schwarz, Ken Davidoff, and several coaches from the Yankee organization appear on it’s airwaves. The broadcast is also available via podcast.
Needless to say, I am excited for this opportunity. I maintain the successful blog “Fire Joe Torre” at firetorre.blogspot.com. If there are any Yankee fans here, I suggest that you tune in to this radio broadcast. I am a certified expert in this field :)

RE: Moving on. I fear change.
Nope. If they did I would be south of 1000 posts :)

RE: All right, who can't wait for the Wii?
It takes a few minutes to get used to, but now I couldn’t imagine playing with a “normal” controller. It just works so well. The only downside is that few games (other than Wii Sports) are really using the controller to it’s full potential. The controler is basically another button in zelda, where a flick of my wrist will essentially press it and swing my sword. It’s actually more natural, but it’s not like I’m actually controlling the sword and shield.
Wii Sports though shows what the Wii is capable of, especially with Boxing and Bowling. I’m waiting for some more detailed sports games to come out to see what it can do.

Flat Earth Society
Some of the funniest stuff that I ever have read. And they aren’t even trying to be funny.
Some bullet points:
- They believe that the Earth is not a sphere but a massive disc
- The Disc is surrounded by an “Ice Wall” that we all think is Antartica.
- There is a massive government conspiracy to cover up the existence of the flat earth, with thousands of guards on snowmobiles watching the Ice Wall.
- There is no gravity. The Disc is accelerating straight up at a rate of 1 G.
- The Sun is a 32 mile diameter spotlight than rotates above the Earth.
- The Moon is the same size and emits “Cold Light” which we percieve as lack of light
…
Seriously, read the stuff on their website. It’s hilarious.

RE: Best movies ever?

RE: Bobby
Bobby Kennedy was one of the great public speakers of his generation. I am very excited to the movie. Few politicians these days, if any, create inspiring moments the way that Kennedy did.
Casino Royal was good, but not great. It had too bad unneccessary plot twists, and too many villains. Still, it was a different take on Bond and the backstory was really interesting. I have confidence in the future of the franchise.
Borat killed me. It was hilarious beyond any movie that I’ve seen in awhile.

All right, who can't wait for the Wii?
I’m currently strategizing on the best way to attain one on opening day.

RE: What's with the new ads?
The only thing that kind of gets to me is that Amazon for some reason thinks that I am interested in Yanni’s new book.
-
RE: What's with the new ads?
The ad system is pretty sophisticated actually.
Google takes a look at the information on the webpage (the text of your posts) that you are viewing. It then decides which ad that someone reading this thread would be interested in. Amazon does the same thing.
So if we are talking about board games, you’ll see ads for board games. If there is a thread about President Bush, you’ll see someone selling an anti-Bush pin. I’ve seen ads for polling agencies, video games, and other things.
It’s all automatic. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Wow.

RE: Helicopter Accidently Crashes into NYC High-Rise
Just an accident, no need to panic.
I’m editing the title.

RE: Mmmm, ads
I don’t have any problem with ads covering posts. What browser are you guys using?
