      On East and West, by Imp Games, each neutral country has a prearranged force setup as well. China, the Arab League, and the OAS all have different territories with a different amount of units. Just thought you’d like to know.

      Fine, I’ll let you have a Hispanic history month…

      …as soon as you let me have a white (or caucasian) history month.

      Ooooh. Works for me. :roll: The way I see it, we wouldn’t have as many race problems if people would get over having a National-whatever-history-month. We can celebrate our cultures, fine. But these months only hinder a national unity.

      Speaking of Hispanics (and don’t accuse me of being racist because I am one) I went to JCPenney today and I heard more people speaking Spanish than I heard speaking English. I’m so glad I’m in my fourth year of Spanish. It’s almost necessary to speak it now (at least to eavesdrop) :D I think that whites and Hispanics are going to be competing for majority in California in the near future.

      Anyhow, race is overrated. Let’s get over ourselves and be AMERICANS. That is if you’re not ashamed of it. I’m 100% PROUD OF IT, BABY!!!

      @Xi:

      Peter Arnett was seen by some as sympathetic to the Iraqi regime in both this war and the 1991 Gulf War, when he reported from Baghdad for CNN….

      "…I think American policy and strategy is the weakest when it comes to the Iraqi people. The U.S. administration is concerned with the possibility of killing civilians, because the international community is very concerned about the Iraqi people. President Bush says he is concerned about the Iraqi people, but if Iraqi people are dying in numbers, then American policy will be challenged very strongly…

      "…For that reason, the Pentagon keeps saying that the civilian casualties, particularly in Baghdad in the last three or four days, at the market places – the Pentagon says – well they are Iraqi missiles that land amongst the people. They keep saying that, but of course the Iraqi government says they are clearly cruise missiles that hit the population…

      Ok, so what is wrong about the statements?
      The first includes an “i think” at the beginning and an “if-then with present and future” combination at the end? ANything wrong with it?
      The second… well, the Pentagon also says that the shrapnels of US missiles found there were brought there by Iraqi officials… and he gives both sides version: is that bad journalism?

      If two(2) Allied pieces are moved they must be of different origins(USSR, UK and US.)
      Limits are … no ICs and no more than 1 Bmr per side(Axis & Ally), not country.

      Met a guy the other day who plays with this rule. He said it makes the game more flexible, like bidding, but more flex for more players(2 to 5.)

      His usual group plays RR, SS, and 1 hit BB(otherwise the extra pieces are too often BBs.)

      @cystic:

      @Deviant:Scripter:

      I believe the situation could have easily gone on for a matter of years, and we’d still have to use military force eventually. If not with Saddam, it would’ve been against one of his psychotic kids.

      I believe, in the wake of 9/11, most people would be MUCH MORE hesitant about giving a guy like that more time to disarm, especially given the 12 years he’s already had. The circumstances and potential consequences are just too great to sit by and watch…HOPING one day he’ll have a dramatic change of mind.

      Does anybody deny that the only reason Saddam even “agreed” to inspections was because the US military was parked on his border?

      i will agree with that. I’ll also agree that it was costing the US a fortune to park the machine there. Furthermore, i’ll agree that many other nations, particularly Canada and European nations (including Russia) helped speed this conflict along by being sideline wimps. I think that if more pressure had come from the international community much earlier, this war may have been avoided - if only because Bush would have lost his excuses to invade (although the regime change card would likely have still been played). Still, although i have little other than my gut to go on here, i believe that this is not a reason for a bunch of people carrying guns to march into someone else’s country in order to kill a bunch of other people . . . .

      All true. I just don’t see how war could’ve been avoided in the end, without letting Saddam Hussein pretty much have his way for an indefinite amount of time.

      JMO–a lot of great observations here from the other side as well.

      Sorry, but I don’t know. I heard it on a local radio station. If I remember correctly the talk show host(who chats about the days news that he thinks is important) didn’t say. That is one thing that pisses me off about a lot of talk show hosts! From Limbaugh to the local guys, they seem to give us news without a source. A newspaper might be mentioned once, but when you are not from that town or country, and you don’t recognize/recall it(unless it is the New York Times/Washington Post.) A survey is quoted but no organization or website to folow-up.

      GRRRRR!!!

      What about creating fora under the A&A forum for general ?s like …

      Mixed land/air unit moves Mixed land and sea unit moves
      Maybe just mixed air/land/sea unit moves
      and Aircraft Carriers(CV/CA) Anti-Aircraft(AA) Fighters(ftr/ftrs) Transports(trn/trns)

      just a few examples … :-? :)

      @BigBlocky:

      I’m a great fan of the UN but…… It has lately been a disaster… Germany in my opinion has taken herself entirely out of the equation, it is her choice. …Anybody who says “No matter what happens, I won’t do a thing” loses their right to consultation.

      True, i am not happy with that too firm position as well. But to be honest: In my memory the US started similar in the opposite position, not really accepting any “evidence” against their point.

      If the UN is hell bent on being useless as it was in Bosnia at Srebrencia … useless as it was in Rwanda …

      The UN is not the world government. It can only be as strong as it members want it to be, especially as the strongest member wants it to be.
      It’s not the worlds policeman, and it doesn’t have an own army to command. You can say it is weak, and i wouldn’t object. But: do you want it stronger or shattered?

      No, I’m sorry. The US has shown enough evidence. Even if there were no weapons of mass destruction there is no argument that I have heard that convinces me it’s better to let this mass murderer stay in control and hold hostage a country of 22 million.

      You are right in the second part of that caption, but i would not say at all that the US has shown enough evidence. It is more that the US defies what ever Hans Blix is saying: For the US, the Iraq is in a lose-lose situation. Whatever he does, the US won’t be satisfied and claim it’s further proof.

      If you don’t want to left a finger to help these people then fine. But get the hell out of my way because I am coming through……

      If your government had argued like that in the start, the situation would be totally different. To change the position now would lokk extremely silly and would hint that there is some hidden interest by the US that they don’t want to say alound.
      For you coming through and me getting out of your way: If you always prefer action without thinking, then it might be better for you if i trip you while you pass me. Then we can sit together and make up a strategy that has more chances of success.
      Assume you are right, and Saddam has WMD. Hoe many of his people do you think will survive being freed?
