RE: Tricked out my AA50th - pics in a bucket
I got a reply from i-94. They gave me this price list:
Japan JP 100, 102 or 103
Germany GR 100, 106, 116 are popular.
Italy IT 100
China MI 106
ANZAC BR 106
US US 100, 102, 108, 109, 112, 119 are the best sellers.
UK BR 107, 111I assume you just put those on the form that you download off their website to order.
I am trying to confirm pricing and which decals are what exactly (and how many come on a sheet). I’ll post a reply when I hear back. Vicacocha, do you know if the numbers indicate size or are just part numbers for different designs?
These are just part numbers since they have multiple sets for each country.
Quite right! Sorry I haven’t replied with more promptness or detail…

JEREMY!!!
Please say that you will match the colors to the combat dice…. EXCEPT for Germany! By now, it is pretty well established that black is the color for Germany - please don’t do anything else!
I think it’s actually deepest gray that you mean. :-D

RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread
Are they just making sets for the seven Anniversary nations. Or will they do Anzac and France to.
They are planning on Anzac and France as well, though after the stated nations are released. And if all goes well, I believe FMG is also planning a couple more surprises (Tech. units? Neutrals? etc.).
I think a lot of tech units are already included in the sets offered. Officers could be elite or marine units, late war fighters for LRA, mech inf for you guessed it mech inf, etc…
I’d rather that FMG concentrate on getting the 6 main countries done before we even start asking for more.
I can’t wait to play AA50 with a printed out map using the Italy FMG will release and the pieces from A&A1942
:D
Well, that’s what they’re planning, yes. To release the main nations, and then follow up with specials. But no… the main sets do not cover the tech. units, and I’d personally like to see tech. units released as a separate set (and I might be mistaken… but I don’t think I’m alone on that). Officers for elite or marine units? No way…
For me the specials aren’t even worth discussing now. I doubt that FMG will be able to find enough demand to attempt to create sprue’s of just tech units.
26 Infantry With multiple poses we have different inf covered
12 Artillery
12 Armour With 2 models we have advanced armor covered
12 Fighters 2 models = a tech unit
10 Tac-bombers
9 Bombers Same as the fighters
12 Submarines
12 Destroyers
9 Cruisers
6 Battleships
6 Aircraft Carriers
12 Transports
NEW
6 Bunkers / Pill Boxes
3 Commander Units Tech unit fill in
4 Transport Planes Paratroopers covered
12 Half tracks mech. infantry = tech unit
12 Trucks
3 Task Force Markers (Like Pacific)In essence all that is missing for tech specific models are jets and super subs?
Good luck paying for these when the demand is so low the sets cost 300 each.
FMG, keep up the great work and please don’t let any ridiculous requests mess this up!
Huh. I like to think it’s all worth discussing - since forums are a good place for speculation - it’s one of the ways that help companies plan. There’s some problems with using those mods on the original list for each nation as tech developments. First off, several don’t aptly capture the development, second off, we don’t even know what developments there will be in the expanded global…
I’m not sure how a “ridiculous” (obviously an opinion) request" on a website would “mess-up” their plans… if that were the case, it would have been messed up long ago (I kinda remember a lot of other requests - some quite a bit more ‘radical’). And I’m not too sure abouit it being ‘ridiculous’ since I believe they talked about it before… and it’s kinda limited to think such would have to be released as a completely separate set - when in all likelyhood it would probably be included with other elements so as to make it cost effective. Even if sold in lone sets, I’m fairly certain that such sets won’t cost 300 each… which is more than one of the nation sets. As far as demand goes… there are threads concerning it… so evidence says otherwise. So no… don’t really need the luck but thanks! As FMG has often said, if the results (sales) are good, they will keep producing…Looking forward to the pics of the Italian aircraft…

RE: How to create action in the pacific
Two cents: Lot of action in the Pacific without changing anything from my experience.

RE: Tricked out my AA50th - pics in a bucket
You have to look at the sizes listed, and examine the scanned in images as well. Really don’t think he’s going to go through and discern what decals are used from someone sending him photos of his transfers…
I’ll try to provide a list of sorts at some point - I’ll try for this weekend but I can’t promise it due to other things…
I think there was some kind of chart somewhere about what sizes suit what minis from what games as well. Not sure if it was there or somewhere else though…

RE: Tricked out my AA50th - pics in a bucket
Hmm… very carefully. eh eh eh - but seriously, it wasn’t easy. The larger the decal the more likely it is to tear or fold it seemed. Just took some patience - and a lot of trial and error. Been meaning to take some more photos - just been swamped with other things lately…
Thanks for taking a peek. -

On topic but veering from the price issue (though I think they’d be worth every penny): I like that the Italian transport has little life boats :-)

RE: Witch is your favourite WW2 tank
@i:
i like the ahh im not sure if this is a tank but i like the jagdpanter heres a pic
some years ago I visited the Imperial War Museum in London, UK, and right there they had a real Jagdpanther on the floor. It was awesome. Totally awesome. That was the coolest tank ever used in WWII. The other tanks in that museum would look dull in comparison.
Just had my third visit a week ago - yeah, that Jagdpanther still has it’s holes even! Though I have to disagree with the other tanks looking dull in comparison… the Firefly is nice, and they have Monty’s own tank in there - and a Matilda with that funky camo job (light blue stripes even). If any of you happen to be in Old Smoke, I suggest the Imperial War Museum as one of your stops.
I voted for the Shermy - personal choice since my dad drove one in the war, grew up fascinated by them.

RE: London, England Any Players
Hey gMonty - what part of London? WOuld like to rolls some bones sometime - Mr. Morden has never responded, I don’t think he checks this forum anymore. I have quite a busy schedule during the week - but a Saturday or Sunday could certainly be set aside. I lost my only two players I had here a while back…
Throwing you a PM…

RE: AA42 vs AA50
I pretty much agree with Hobbes here… And in regard to the size difference - I actually swapped my '42 Battleships and a couple others with my 50th, since the board is much bigger and could more easily house the bigger pieces.
